I just purchased today for $1,400 off of Craigslist a 1967 ct90 runs fantastic. Brake lights don't work, the air filter is not mounted as of yet. but other than that I am thankfull!, I brought him down from 1800 to 1400 thankfully. now it's in my garage for more investment-😁💪

I hadn't ridden one of these since 1968 but just picked up a 1983 CT 110 with only 677 miles on it. Haven't had it off road yet but will camp with it in about 2 weeks in the Sierras east of Fresno, CA. It should make a perfect, sneak quietly through the forest bike.

We are outside of Kingsburg and have one of those. took it to tamarack ridge on a guys trip and the motorcycle guy loved it after about 10 min of riding. great for utility too. have had 2 since my great grandparents bought them in ‘68 and ‘70. the 68 was my great grandpas and was used the crap out of lol. dead reliable little bikes.

Well six years later it's still good to watch. Brilliant little bike. IMHO for my bit of off roading I'd rather do it on this, than all the massive, heavy, GS's and similar- looks like fun, and, this video ,now in 2020 has become relevant again because Honda are remaking this kind of bike again, albeit only for the Japanese market for now.

@@martialman.4563 I'm roughly 5'10'' 170-180lbs + I was carrying probably another 15-25lbs of water/gear etc.. yeah i was sitting most of the time but it was still a 'pretty steep' hill.. altitude was 4,400ft+ as well.. Area is Horse Ridge in the Badlands of Oregon halfway between Bend and Brothers.. Great little loop with pretty crazy hill climbs, a small sand pit etc.., There are several lava tube caves a few mins away, there are official OHV areas a few mins away, there's even a little 'hogans alley' town somewhere out there.. its 100% legal to be there because its public or bureau of land management land too!

Its interesting to see the Trail 90 in low-range......I can see why that is nice to have.....your literally going so slow that the large rocks and terrain can be navigated by putting your feet down and just letting it crawl over things. My dad has an old Trail 90 just like yours that hasn't run for 30 years.......I should drag that thing out and get it running again. I've only rode it once for a very short time and it developed a scored piston so its been sitting ever since.
@scottydoes8379
@scottydoes8379 7 жыл бұрын
They are quite impressive for their small size, and very easy to ride. As silly as they look, they can be a-lot of fun. I'm not a hunter, but I've known many old deer hunters that praise these things as being able to lug large game out of the deep and narrow woods with ease. The only mod most people recommend is to replace the rectifier (behind the battery) with a modern one from radio shack.. and check the fuel tank for flakes.. If you got a flaky tank and dont want to clean it, just run some external filters from the tank and you'll be good to go. I also used to foul out spark plugs relatively quickly, so maybe carry an extra plug
@Dan-qp1el
@Dan-qp1el 7 жыл бұрын
Scotty - I'm interested in the rectifier mod you mentioned, and also potentially converting it to a 12v system. I am trying to find some information from anyone who's done it.

It's a gopro hero 3+ black on a chest mount. I prefer the helmet mount personally, but the chest mount is good if you don't want head movement in the video. You also have to hike the chest mount as high as possible or else the video is too low in my opinion.
