RESPECT!! Love that all of the pieces were made by Anders in his own workshop. The crazy carbon fibre process for the tank, home made exhaust, and sewing the seat on his wife's machine. Great story and fantastic bike for his daughter. One of my favourite videos on this channel so far.

A CX500 wouldn't have been my starting point for a custom job but that just points up my lack of imagination. A great looking bike making a great sound. Truly a beautiful job all round but that tank is stunning!

Wonder who dislikes a video like this and why? This guy is awesome, he built everything by hand, and everything looks spot-on! Surely someone would make a different decision to do thing some other way, but that does not diminish Andreas' skill and commitment, not one bit 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'm not sure I can add anything that hasnt been said already; but I couldnt pass by without saying congratulations Anders on a beautiful build. I'd love to be in your league regarding building your own parts. Trust me - that seat is great looking;so dont beat yourself up about that. I am about to drag out and old sewing machine and have a go myself. If its just a shadow of what you've achieved I will still be happy. Those laced wheels are spot on too. Well done indeed.

Anders, Thank you, it's a marvellous piece of machinery, the pure clean Scandinavian design of a Japanese motorbike, like a Japanese Zen buddhist garden, unseen before. The red tank and tail versus the black engine and silver spoked wheel. My respect for your handicraft skills. It shows you love for your daughter.

Being an old school Luddite and Moto Guzzi Freak, i have never understood the love given to the water cooled Plastic Maggot as it used to be called, Honda CX500. However, this is one of those very very rare builds that is right up there. This builder has huge talent and an eye for a quality top class custom motorcycle. Kudos.

I hope you build some more, there is a market out there for this bike. Very neat 1 of a kind. Shafted custom looks incredibly good. CX engines are a nice looking motor with twisted cylinders to push the carbies into the centre of the bike. Push rods keep the heads lower making for a tighter look. No overhead cams and camchains to worry about, same about the shft drive - quieter. Anyone considering a custom road bike should look at this one to set the benchmark. Honda did very well indeed to employ Shoichiro Irimajiri,
