The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Extension long range fuel tanks are also necessary, or else you are filling them up many times a day, depending on load. One day ... they will get it right. One day ...

I'm not familiar with these things but i was thinking, when you opened it up, to see some noise insulation against the covers... But there was nothing at all to see. .wouldn't it be great that they put some insulation? So it should be more quiet?

Our EU2000i just died and we bought the eu2000. The 2000's can experience cracking around the crankshaft case. It's what killed ours.

You should be able to claim that under warranty even if it is out of warranty. No reasonable gen should have cracked engine casings. I have heard this story of cracked casings a few times now

@@gangtra48 , Australia has a reasonable warranty terms. Ordinary, an engine block should not break if the machine was sparsely used. Consumers are protected for reasonable use. Not many people know about this. Speak with consumer warranty people, they will explain.

@@gangtra48 in the EU all products sold come automatically with a 2 year Guarantee, but what a lot of people do not realise is that this Guarantee is in addition to your rights and all products must be fit for purpose for a reasonable amount of time. A TV, for example, is typically expected to last around 6 years of normal use. So being out of warranty/guarantee period doesnt mean a consumer is not protected. Its different for Australia I imagine, but Australia is very similar to the UK in many things, so Id look into that further. Retailers rarely ever admit it, and often even deny it. Ive had to take print outs of consumer information, or show them on their own computers in their shops frequently enough. Staff are never trained properly.

How can you tell how many hours the generator has run? Do you start it and then the light starts blinking I’m not sure how to get the light to come on and off indicating the number of hours.

It is unfortunate, no matter how many times you tell the manufacurers they still dont get right. Where is the earth leakage protector, the RCD. All of the generators coming out on the market have these devices. That should have been their top priority, first on the list implementation. Although this is a camping gen, you cannot go on a worksite and operate a generator with out it. On a camp site, possibly damp or wet conditions it is very sensible to have them. Power backup at home, holiday house, still very wise to have it. The hire shops have Honda and other generators with retrofited RCD's. Maybee, one day ... they will get it right. Disappointed.

You shouldnt be using a generator to run a tv. Just use a leisure battery for that. If youre offgrid for a long time without driving a vehicle, then get yourself a solar panel. A petrol generator is yesterdays news.

In Finland I'm getting about 13 hours running time using 4.1 liter 95E10 fuel. Typically I watch my 32" led tv and use also two small energy saver E27 bulbs. We have 220V AC. I have a Honda EU20i, now it has been in use for over 16 years and about 8000 hours. Google says that 1 US gallon = 3.8 liters. I'm overfilling the tank a little, but I cannot say how much. So you should have no need to fill not before 10 hours has passed. There must be something wrong in your calculation, if you have only your tv on.
