Thanks so much for posting this video. I picked one up at a yard sale. Pumped up the tires charged the battery and went to kick start it. Felt like it was locked up and would not turn over. I had no idea these were wind up. Pulled the left brake lever and sure enough it turned over. couple more times brought it to life. Thank god for the Internet. I was just about to pull the left engine cover off to see what was going on.

Nice video. I mom bought me a brand new 1980 it was Angel Blue. mom paid a whole 500 bucks at the Honda dealer Loved it. Now I am much older and found me a 1978 yellow real nice shape, but redoing everything on it can't wait to finish. Looking around I found that parts are like gold so if restoring one be careful, especially with the plastic parts.

Man, I really want an 80 or older. I have an 82 and an 83, but they are practically the same. Both are kick start too, not the wind up. IDK why, but I want a wind up lol.

The wind up is super awesome, but it is such a pain to get that side cover back on.
