Honda F12x Jet Pump and Drive Shaft Bearing Replacement!

Well. Mr. Nickey got in touch with me after seeing my video of rebuilding the Jet Housing on my Honda R12. Link- • Rebuilding the jet pum... Well, he got in touch with me and brought his ski to our shop in New Iberia, GT Powersports. Got him all set up with ski again. Now he is good to go with no cavitation.

Great video What holds the shaft in place I’m replacing the jet pump assembly. Do you recommend replacing the carrier / pto bearing . I’m doing this myself . Mine is a non turbo . 2 seater

Which way does the bolt at 9:52 undo ? Is it normal (or opposite, which would stop it undoing when shaft is spinning). Can’t pick up the thread direction in video even with screen shot zooming in. Cheers.

It should be normal threads on that bolt. Just very tight at first

Is there a way to just change the bearing from the carrier housing instead of changing the entire carrier housing ?

Yes, you can. I never personally done it.

In the service manual it states the prop bearing needs to be aligned with a special tool ? Can’t I just bolt it on ?

I have a 2002 F12 non turbo and I’m getting a lot of rattling from the shaft bearing or jet pump when it’s on the water hose it goes away after about 20 sec and it only has 40hr on it. it’s weird I’m having this issue already can you tell me the average coast to do this job

The main carrier bearing is around $200.00. The new bushings going to the motor shaft is about $20.00. The jetpump rebuild is around $160.00.

I just had a customer abandoned not one but two F 12s with a very nice trailer I tried for over two months for him to pick them up > I am trying to get titles for them as we speak just amazes me how wasteful people are they are not junk I dont know if they run or not been sitting for two years I am not a jet ski tech but I wont mess with them untill I get titles people are weird man

But your able to get the titles? Ay, that's good for you if you can. Get 2 skis for hardly nothing. We have a Yamaha VX Sport here like that. Actually got left here around the time of that video
