This review was very useful to me. I cringe at the thought of ants around the battery creating havoc around the electronics. The other issue that you highlighted is that the clutch requires the oil to be checked and topped up periodically, likewise with the mechatronic unit. Why didn't Honda place both reservoirs in a place where the customer can see them without removal of the air filter housing? I prefer to work on cars myself as I do not want to pay the dealership.

Thanks for sharing this video but this is called the Honda Sport Hybrid i-DCD (intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive) but not the old IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) anymore.

@@joseramonherreramendoza9260 I assure you it isn't ...I have owned both a GP5 AND GP2 Fit at the same time...the GP5 has EV mode..GP2 IMA does not...the GP5 can be switch on and you can drive off in EV mode..the GP2 IMA cannot...it is NOT the same

Can you kindly let me know the process to clean the Hybrid battery of a 2014 Honda GP5 (FIT) I understand to the part where you remove the air vent but need help on removing battery case and cleaning the cells. Is there any major steps to disconnect the batteries? It would be helpful if you could send me the steps or if you have a chance to do a Honda GP5 battery clean video, we can’t find any good video on GP5 where there is enough information on the full process to clean the battery completely. Thanks in advance.

So i wanna do a hybrid battery fan service myself. All electricians and mechanics i know, dont want to service the fan because they have to remove complete battery. Can i make 3 - 4 holes in the white plastic around the fan to remove th bolts which are holding the fan. That way i can service without removing whole HV battery assembly What do u say?

Yes. You should get it service. After 100km the battery normally give trouble eventually will die on you an you cannot even start the car.

That seemed odd... To my knowledge it's a standard combustion 1.5L engine simply using the atkinson cycle. Hybrid power is only involved with the transmission which is dual clutch.

As per manual it's 0W20, if high on miles go with synth. 3.1L change, 3.3L if replacing filter.
