Congratulations on the hitting the big time. Over 80k views on this one. You have probably helped a few hundred people with the same problem. Yep I had several Hondas over my lifetime. Got mine worked on at Geos Cycle Shop in Roanoke Va. Heck I think they’ve been out of business 30 years or more.

I made a very long slow highly detailed video of taking that carburetor apart then I was able to use that video to enable me to put it back together worked out really sweet.

thank you Soybean Farmer... I used both a couple of your videos today for some work I have been putting off. Your explanations and video were spot on for my issues and I really thank you for taking the time to show and explain your work... Your awesome!!

It would be nice if instead of cutting away with the camera you would actually show the work you did. :(

Yep years later now since I made that video I do realize I could have done a lot better job with actually showing where the bolts were at and how things actually came apart. I'm thinking you stumbled across that video because you've got carburetor issues that you would like to resolve. Don't be afraid to tackle it set your mind to it and you can do it.🧰🔧🔩🔩

A lot of research went into this project before I was actually able to successfully remove the carburetor from the ATV and then more research went into it so I could successfully rebuild the carburetor and get my ATV back. It's all about what you're willing to put into a project as to whether you have success or not. Thanks for watching here and supporting this channel. 🙂

I have an 04 foreman 450 and it will crank up fine and idle but it had the same problem as you described yours had I ordered an aftermarket carb for 40 dollars the other day hopefully that will fix it. It done this before and we flushed the carb out and that only last for bout a month before it went back to running rough.

Massey1105driver - down right now with no new parts but not defeated. plan B,C,D or E but one of these plans is going to work. thanks for watching and commenting. oh, been meaning to say, my neighbor Farmer across the road has an 1105 with cab. it is their midsized tractor.
@Masseydriver8 жыл бұрын
That's pretty neat, I wish mine had a cab. It gets cold in the winter time on an open station, and wet on a rainy day. Lol.

Hey Soybean, nice video but could you describe to me how you got the little electric heater plug disconnected? You said it was the hardest part but you didn't say how you did it! I can't for the life of me get the damn thing apart!

larsonvalleyfarm - did not go well so frustrated with trying to get parts. I could type a book here, so I'll do a follow up video cause I might be down at the moment but I am not beat. oh and got a John Deere wrong part issue going on at the same time. John Deere could not even give me the correct fuel line hose. should have been 6.6mm and not 1/4in which is 6.3mm grrrrrr. thanks for watching.

Nice video, I just picked up a like new foreman with the same symptoms. Cranks and idles fine but bogs under load. I put in fresh gas but I know I need to rebuild the carb which isn't that bad aside from just getting it out.. The 200.00 the Honda place said it would cost is looking more reasonable, hmmmm.
@SoybeanFarmer33006 жыл бұрын
pcdubya - the rebuild kit is around 20 dollars. make a video of taking the carb apart so you know how to put it back together. get the cleaner I showed in this series of videos. you can do it and you'll be so impressed with yourself afterwards.
@pcdubya6 жыл бұрын
Cool thanks for the encouragement, looks like the hardest part is just getting it out to work on it.
@pcdubya6 жыл бұрын
You were right, got it all back together and runs like a top, felt great when she cranked. Wasn't really that dirty, just a little gummy on the emulsion tube and blew out all passages, and once you figure out how to get the body panel connectors off, easy to get into it. 100% gas in her now. Thanks

pcdubya - sometimes a little positive encouragement is all any of us ever need to go on to accomplish the things in this life we are thinking are impossible. I am very happy for you that you now have this experience and are able to enjoy your ATV again. good job. and thanks for sharing it with me.

Soybean Farmer where do you get the primer pump on the bowl or rebuild kits for that carb
@haveasmash2 жыл бұрын
Can buy a whole new carb on Amazon for $35
@SoybeanFarmer33002 жыл бұрын
Yes that's true but you miss all the fun of the rebuild and gaining the understanding for how the little Parts go together to make it actually function.🤔
@mikehicks9924 Жыл бұрын
why spend $35 when you can rebuild it for $23..
@SoybeanFarmer3300 Жыл бұрын
Why spend $35 for a carburetor made in China that you're just going to have to take apart and figure out what they did wrong in the assembly when you can just buy the rebuild kit and be done with the project. 🙂
@w0560075688 жыл бұрын
Take the model number and serial number of the bike with you as well, it could be cheaper to buy a whole new carb rather than the rebuild kit!

Dan Whiteford - great advice and I had all that ready to take with me. decided to call first at around 8am, found out they do not open till 9:30am. called back and learned they do not keep parts stocked for products older than 10 years. lady on phone implied ATV's not being a necessity in life are for rich people who trade them on an average of every 2 to 3 years so they can brag about having the latest and greatest features. then she told me they do not even work on the products they sold if they are older than 10 years. unreal, but at least I do not need or want them to work on it, I just wanted to ride up there and buy parts. thanks for commenting and as usual your comments are valued.
