As a motorcyclist of 49 yrs and owned many different bikes. I always commuted on honda c50/70/90 and 125s. Did 77k on my honda anf125. Weather protection awful, wet everything. Also chain off soaking in paraffin severeal times a year despite chain guard. Then I hired an xmax 250 on holiday and that was it. Came home and bought one. Rode it to Spain and back twice. Used it in Spain to ride in the mountains and nice roads. 80 mph max but I changed the variator weights to reduce the acceleration very slightly but gave a relaxed 70 cruise. I also owned a honda sh300i and was a positive rocket ship. The one point on these bikes I think is major for me at 65 and struggling physically cleaning and adjusting chains and that is the variator belt needs changing at 12k miles. And if you have an electric socket gun it is easily changed without special tools. The one negative for them is a rear puncture/tyre change as taking the rear wheel out is major surgery. Not ridden this but have ridden 650 and I think the middleweights are the best. The sh300 which looks like a honda 90 was a rocket ship away from lights. DIY on them is very easy too. Seat bucket out access to everything. The other major plus is weather protection. I used to ride my xmax250 in all weathers with most dry and importantly dry feet. Because they are automatic ie slipping the clutch and belt via variator they are not fantastic on fuel. My x max was 65-70 mpg led than my v strom650. But I can honestly say they are my go to transport and thoroughly addictive when twisting and going as they do go. There is a vlog on u tube where A tmax500 was chasing a honda blackbird in some mountains and the blackbird could not lose it. Obviously due to the bends etc but until you have ridden one you will ever know. This review reflects my own experience of them. Sadly they are expensive but used good buys can be had

Love my nss300. Does everything. Plenty quick enough, even with wifey on the back. Loads of storage. No messy chain or clanking through gears, just wrap back and go. Keeps up with all legal speeds sooooo easily and hey, I want to keep my licence, so not fussed about 100mph+ speeds. Comfortably sits, two up at 75mph (indicated) and returns 80+mpg. What more does a middle aged man want from a bike? Oh, lockdown to end, so I can pull her out the garage!

These scooters seem to be very popular with older riders, but I've just ordered a Forza 350 as my first ever bike. I'm in my twenties and the Forza appeals to me so much. Did my CBT on a geared bike and obviously I did pass it, but I just couldn't be bothered with the gears and most bikes don't have half as much storage. Scooters all the way for me

Loved the review, thanks. Appreciate the honest opinion from a motorbike rider, even though it's a scooter. I recently hired one for a test drive in Thailand, 4 days and 1,200kms, loved every second. Left cars behind on the motorway cruising easily at 130km/h. Stored a back pack bursting at the seems and a rain jacket and bits under the seat, so convenient, super comfy and smooth as silk. It kept me completely dry in a rain burst, until I stopped to put the jacket on. The huge glove box is very useful. Got more interest in it from people than when I tested the X-ADV, and the price is far more palatable at 40% of the price of the X-ADV. As much as I loved the ride and the looks of X-ADV, the Forza is far more practical and manageable on all types of journey, you don't have the engine heat between your legs as the engine is on the swing arm, which you can do without in a hot climate. The instrument panel is great, especially the range gauge, very useful. The buttons on the remote control are engine immobiliser and alarm.

Great review - I had the Silverwing a few years ago but ended up going back to a bike - been riding mainly beemers for 20 yrs and am currently on an old 1100R but thinking about one of these to replace it - just make so much sense - plenty enough power, oodles of storage space and very practical - who can argue with 80mpg too. Not bothered what other folk think either, I'd quite happily tour on one of these. Steve

Great scooter, I run mine every day through London. Bought it new and had ridden it for over one year and have 8500 miles on it. I have had to fit a new rear tyre, new brake pads front and rear. Just recently new clutch shoes! It really takes its toll stop start traffic! 68 mpg constantly.

Back AGAIN?! Yes, I’m one of those people who review everything they’ve seen the first time regarding a product, (this time the Honda Forza 300)? Your comments are without question THE BEST not only for the Forza 300 but motor scooters in general! CVT is the way to go for smaller capacity engines either on bikes or in cars infinite gearing gives the maximum torque available when the power is limited. They just pull, the gear changing is constant because it never disengages and as for comfort I cant think of any bike except maybe the Gold wing that out shines these maxis and I would expect it to at that silly price For me the maxis are one of the most relaxed two wheeled tourers around. You sit you twist you enjoy the ride and the views But they are not macho machines or Pe.... extensions I'm old so did all that in the 60's

Hey chaps! Toby, you obviously didn't have a go on the Burgman 400 when Mark tested it, the Suzuki 400 is the bench-mark, everything else is just copying it, except for the suspension, no one has duplicated the monoshock underslung system of the Burg 400, it handles twisties almost like a sports bike, and the 2003 - 2006 models (mine) have 17 adjustments for the rear suspension ! My beaten up 2006 will accelerate from 75 mph up to 95 mph in a flash and it gives me 70 - 75 mpg. My only observation would be of the inability to feather the clutch when on deep sand or mud, it is an innate problem with a centrifugal clutch of course, but given the Burg 400's 34 bhp, it tends to spin the back wheel on take off. Great vid, thanks lads ! Chris in Brazil.

How funny, I own this model Forza and also own a Monkey bike. It’s a strange combo and I never thought I would see a video involving both. The Forza will leave the Monkey well behind. You can truly do everything on it like you said. Ride through the city on to the highway to get to the twisties. Then on the way home you can pick a couple bags of groceries. All while having a great time. The monkey on the other hand is so fun to ride. I think it’s the most beautiful bike ever made! Both are ridiculously good on gas.

Thinking of getting a 300 scooter myself. Like you i have had a fz1 amongst others but just no fun around town or day to day riding. Been in a car last 2.5yrs but missing being on two wheels. Hows you're 2020 forza getting on

@@YorkshireTripper. yeah its been good obviously i didn't get it for thrills but just for getting about in an 80mile radius of my house.... but it will go further great Yarmouth for 2.30 hrs motorway speeds. Top speed is 85 on gps but still doing 70- 72 mpg great Yarmouth n back £20.. seat storage is great if pack lose... with a rucksack.I put a top box on mine the yamaha xmax 400 is faster but i hate handlebar mirrors the forza fold in plus screen is power adjustable

@@magpiemale I've been looking at either a forza or a xmax 300 . Read that you don't get much more for your money on the xmax 400. 85mph is plenty enough for me as i drive for a living and i never really go much more than 75-80 on motorway . This will be my only mode of transport but i've had smaller scooters and enjoyed them as my only mode of transport even in winter. Did the north coats 500 5 years back and what i've seen of the reviews on youtube i'd be happy to do it again on a 300 scooter.

@@YorkshireTripper. I prefer the forza over the yamaha it looks better more plush honda are bringing out a 350 forza suppose to be bit stronger in midrange have a test ride next year.If your going on a big run o like the fact you can pack quite a bit under the seat.As for your choice best have a test ride hope it works out well i love mine.... bit wallowing in the winds but so was the fz1 you'll like the 200mile out of the forza maybe 220 to a tank.Dunno about the yamaha mcn do reviews.

Thanks for that review, please can you try the BMW C400gt... I've owned this Honda but sold due to lack of feet forward riding position and awful rear suspension where as burgman 400 was better but the Honda has absolutely the sweetest engine.

Thanks buddy, great video and very informative - I had the old version of the Forza 300 and the only reason I haven’t changed to the upgraded version is that the seat height is a bit too high for me. However, I might try it again based on your video. Thanks again, very informative and amusing video 🙂

So, would be this scooter ideal for someone who would want to switch from car to scooter for daily commuting? I have never owned bike in my life and I am looking for something, which could be driven also on highways.

2000 miles on the Forza 300 from new, first bike for 50 years, that was a Lambretta 175, Full agreement with the tester, had to get used to sitting up right relaxed rather than crouched and cramped. Mirrors need to be turned inwards to show a view behind, with some of you showing, but its fine . Engine and transmission gives fast get away and top speed around 87mph but 80 is more comforting, so no bother overtaking at motorway speeds. Excellent design and presentation. Finally decided that this was the right choice. Plus over 80 miles to the gallon.

You really need a tmax to test its handling is great, i currently have the older 300 forza and its a crackin machine but only negative is room to stretch for my 6ft frame, but i used to have a modified tmax years ago and never found the same experience and fun on any bike since out of the 20 bikes i have owned, mine was 500cc but had a 530 and now the 560cc and should be epic, please try n get a go, or alternatively a kymco 550.

Great and very useful review. There is a direct correlation between growing excess nasal hair and finding such Maxi Scoots attractive. Hear me out here! All those disagreeable things about growing older - Prostatitis, Myopia various impairments bring with them an appreciation of comfort. Speed is less of a draw, but we still want acceleration. We also start to understand the difference between power and torque. That strong pick-up is a product of a driveline set up to maximise torque. Cheers

I've just bought one as a run around to keep the mileage down on my KTM. It's keeps up with traffic, is economical and has more oomph than my PCX125 that I've got (for my Motorhome). It has some good features with abs, traction control (a first in the class), elec screen and the keyless system is good. It's brilliant 😁🏁
