Two things --- It is possible for a strong wind to blow it forwards off the side stand, so a parking brake is needed. I made a metal clip for the rear brake lever, there´s also a velcro belt which does the job. The Bluetooth pod under the left handlebar can foul your knee, locking the steering, and your leg. Otherwise it is a fine machine, after a lifetime of interesting motorcycles.
@Dean-does-Stuff-812 жыл бұрын
I admit that that control unit under the bar is a waste of time. I will never use it myself. And I always park the bike on the centre stand, as that way you can start it and leave it to run and warm up a little while you put your kit on etc. So I have not had an issue with the side stand. (As you say, a Velcro strap is all it takes)

Hi, Thanks for the compliment. I actually sold the Forza and is now replaced with a KTM 890 SMT ( brand new as of 3 weeks ago). The reason I bought the Forza qt the time, was that I wasn't totally sure how much I was still feeling the motor biking vibes, and wanted some thing cheap (ish) that would allow me to get out on 2 wheels. As it happened, I really loved that bike, but was craving the bigger bikes I am well versed with from my long biking career. This all said, I am missing the scooter already, and have my eye on the TMAX 560, and will likely get one next year to go along side the KTM.

I am concerned that it will be a bit of a stretch getting my feet on the ground, especially with the wide seat. Secondly, some reviews have said the rear suspension is hard and non-adjustable. Is this so? I like a softer suspension. And thirdly is the info display hard to see in bright sunlight? It looks like it might be.
@Dean-does-Stuff-817 ай бұрын
1. You will need to test ride it for height. As it has such a wide seat that you may struggle to put your feet down. 2 the suspension isn't the best. You don't want it too soft. It is adjustable for compression on the rear. 3 The screen is excellent and always visible.

Tbh I am not sure it’s worth it. If you are talking about the occasional day trip, as long as the pre load is turned to the highest setting, and you ride with in the bikes capabilities, there really is no need. You have to remember that this bike isn’t really designed for 2 up touring. It is a daily commuter. If you plan to use it for big touring then I would look at the t max or the 750 Honda. My money would be on the t max. I haven’t seen any rear suspension upgrades that look to be a genuine upgrade, so you would need to look to finding a suspension specialist. Hi Carol, I have a 32 inch inside leg. I wouldn't say I struggle with the height of the seat, but the issue with this type of bike is how wide the seat is. Because it is wide, it makes it harder to get your feet down. I would say at 29 inch, you may struggle to even get your tip toes down. It would be a case of having to bum shuffle to one side each time you stop. This said, because it is a twist and go, there are no foot controls to worry about, so in that case, you may manage. It would also be possible to have the seat customized, (just remove some of the foam and make a new cover.) Probably the answer would be a test ride. Good luck with getting some thing 👍

Great review, all the bits i wanted to see. We have gone down to one car and i want something for those odd occasssions i need to pop out and cant cycle. This looks like a great option. Do you know what you paid for it with the box?
@Dean-does-Stuff-813 жыл бұрын
Hi Jay, unfortunately I now live in the Netherlands and over here we have some thing called bpm, (a tax on things classed as luxury, such as cars, boats and motorbikes etc) because of the tax here, the bike cost €7700, and that is far higher than the Uk prices. I believe that the bike is around the £5000 mark in the uk. So I can’t say what the price was in uk pounds. I can say that it is a great bike with a ton of storage. 👍

Does the cubby hole storage lock at all please? I presume you can’t open the back box or remove it, unless you have the key in proximity? Thanks
@Dean-does-Stuff-812 жыл бұрын
The cubby locks when the bike locks. In the O or steering lock positions. The top box also locks in the same fashion. The top box can only be removed with the actual metal key that comes with the bike. It can then be opened with the small button underneath when it is on the bike. It just clicks closed. It is actually a very good design as far as security goes. In my opinion. (But obviously, if some one wants to get in, they will)

How ever much power you have, you always want more. 😉 If I am honest, I think that this bike has enough power. It is a nice balance between performance and economy in my opinion. It is just fast enough but not excessive. It has a massive range considering it has around 11 liters of fuel….

You can just add more power. Get a variator kit. And adjustable clutch.

@Dean-does-Stuff-813 жыл бұрын
The top box is very well made. The Honda mount is very well constructed and fits well to the bike. The integrated keyless entry is also very well thought through. The box it’s self looks to be designed around in bike security and it does look like it would hold up to a considerable attack. The internal size and shape lends its self to having 2 full face helmets. But is well suited to carry all types of luggage. I would recommend it over any after market box. 👍

Trouble is you can not buy this bike as your first bike because it's bigger than 125cc and you first need to pass the tests on a gear changing bike.
@Dean-does-Stuff-813 жыл бұрын
No trouble for me as I have had a full license for over 20 years. But, they do a 125cc version that looks exactly the same, and you can ride it once passing a CBT in the uk, with L plates. 👍
@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax3 жыл бұрын
@@Dean-does-Stuff-81 Yeah, the 125cc honda forza is very popular. But for me i think it is not the best option if you want to practise for a full licence. Because the HF 125cc does not have a clutch that the rider needs to use. And the full licence test is done with bikes with clutch, where you have to change the gears yourself. I think this is why I see plenty of 125cc scooter owners that are still carrying an L plate on a renewable 2 year cbt licence 10 years later...
@Dean-does-Stuff-813 жыл бұрын
@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax I did my cbt 3 times. It used to last 3 years at a time. And I rode over 100,000 miles in that time all on scooters. Then passed my full license when I was 23. I had no issue with gears at all. It really is very easy.
@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax3 жыл бұрын
@@Dean-does-Stuff-81 - That is good to know because I do prefer the Forza because it looks very practical all around bike and I get the impression it gives better protection from weather conditions.

@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax well, in 125 or 350, I think it is a fantastic bike.
