Honda GCV160 Throttle Control

Hi, having the same engine Honda GCV 160 with the same system of throttle control. But in my case the defined positions on handle control do not correspond with the engine modes, e.g. The throttle position for High speed mode is somewhere between position high and low on handle clik control. Do you have any idea how to set up that engine mode correspond to click poison on handle control? Thanks.

Hello. The most important settings are the full choke and kill switch. (Is it achieving the full range on the engine) Everything in the middle may not be perfectly accurate. Eg idle click and full speed click. I guess it depends on the cable control that’s being used. If a new hole is drilled in the engines throttle lever (lower than than existing) the cable controls range will be more sensitive. Probably not a fix for you though. Hope that helps.

I've watched this video like 10 times and I cannot hear you. I don't know what's going on with the choke but I think that's the problem with my engine but I can't hear you to figure out what you're doing.

Could you clarify whether this engine came with the necessary fitting for a remote, or did you improvise your own bracket? My gc190 has a motor mounted throttle control and I need to make this remote. Thanks.

Pizzey Technology Cable control (remote) is a separate item. The motors we are supplied have no onboard throttle control. They come ready to fit a cable control. Good luck.

will this also work on a horizontal shaft gcv190?

It may very well have a similar setup. We only use vertical shaft engines and couldn't say for sure.
