Agree with everything you said Mark, adding my $0.02 1) better parking brake system. 2) connect with Apple Car Play or Android’s Auto without the requirement of a headset being connected to the bike. Thanks for posting Mark, about these amazing machines !!👍🏻

Hi Robert-The parking brake system improvement is spot on. Forgot about that one, and it's probably why I do not use it much. Also, I know an individual with a 2018 Tour DCT. He accidentally left the parking brake locked, took off riding, and the brake/disc assembly got so hot it melted part of his saddlebag! Crazy.

Hi Mark, I agree with all of your points. I would also like the plastic cover for the dash to be a bit more scratch resistant. Hopefully Honda is listening. I love my Goldwing but any product can be improved.

I just sold my 2022 BMW K1600 GTL which I dearly love for touring. However, the tall center of gravity when two up is a significant issue for me. On our trip last month to Door County, Wisconsin I almost dropped it several times at low speed. I am now looking at the Goldwing for its boxer engine and lower center of gravity. I’m watching closely for news on updates for 2025. Love your videos, but even more, love your immaculate and well stocked garage!

Thanks for your comments. I did own a K1600 Bike back in 2018 and traded for a new 2018 Gold Wing. The were two main reasons for that decision. And while the K1600 platform is pretty darn good, I found that it was not that good at tracking straight down the road. It always wanted to drift a bit when you removed hands from the handlebar. Secondly, and as you mention, was the somewhat top-heavy condition that would arise once and a while, especially with a passenger. On a light incline at a stop sign with a little camber. You had to be ready. If you can, find someone that will let you take the Gold Wing for a spin. You'll be surprised at how balanced this touring bike really is. Good luck!

@@MarksGarage17 I have noticed the wandering on the K1600 although it’s never bothered me. I test rode the 2018 Goldwing DCT with my wife on back. I don’t recall any low speed tipping tendencies at all. The only reason we didn’t buy then was the small storage space. A local dealer has a 2024 Goldwing DCT Airbag demo for $26k, which is a good price. I’m still waiting for the 2025 Goldwing introduction.

@@dhbrantley I currently own GTL and while still love the power of the engine and how much fun you get on K bike in the twisty road. I totally agree on top heaviness of the bike especially when loaded with luggage and passenger. I do practice on parking lot but bike is hard due to high center of gravity and twitchy throttle. I confirm that bike is unsteady on the highway especially w/o any luggage, drifts to the left when you let handlebar and is very sensitive to cross winds. I decided I will sell GTL next year and get Goldwing, I tested DCT version and while bike is not as dynamic as GTL it is much easier on parking lot, very stable on the highway, much better wind protection and excellent brakes. I spend 8 riding season on GTL and while bike was great and never let me down during long trips all over US and Canada it is time to change and go back to wing as I had one before.

Yes, the fuel filler neck is too small. It takes too much time to re-fuel as I am trying to get every drop in that I can.

If it is quiet at the gas station, I can hear the fuel getting close to the top. If it is busy and noisy at the station, it's almost going to happen. (spurt back)

Good catch! You are absolutely right. Yesterday, I was out for a ride and came across turkey vultures eating roadkill. I had to look down to find the horn button to give them a sound blast.

Needs a windshield washer/wiper system......Riding into the afternoon sun with a windshield you can't see over requires a clean windshield. I wouldn't consider it a hardship to reach to the windshield with my left hand to tap a washer/wiper button: SQUIRT, WIPE, WIPE, PARK THE BLADE.......DONE!

You missed the dash, Im surprised as I guess you ride a Harley and since the Boom GTS came out back in 2019 Harley have put the Gold Wing to shame especially more so since the 24 Road glide hit the scene.
