Update, I did get it working. I reset to factory setting. Connected the truck to the internet. In the browser I opened up auto hack, entered my code and it downloaded without using a flash drive.

the key binds are actually good if you go into it. Like for my use i hold the go back button on steering wheel and it activates the rear camera when driving. the pro also lets you make a app automatically open when the car turns on.

If you turn off distraction mode everytime you turn on the vehicle you can use any app. There are videos on how to turn it off.

Yeah most likely. So knowing that would you still accomend the free hack version or paid. Also does it work with the 2018 Canadian Sport version. I know the american versions are alittle different when it comes to whats offered in each trim.

Still looking for something similar for the 2019+ Ridgeline. It seems Honda locked things down tighter but didn't make any improvements for 2019. Love my 2019 RTL-E but can't wait to see what they do for 2025, when the Ridgeline should be an all new design. If it isn't a step backwards I'll be one of the first to buy a 2025... when they're available used with 20k miles. :)

Yuriy, do you know of a way to allow for a longer "self driving" type of capability? You know, now it drives for 10-15 seconds and tells you to put your hands on the wheel. Is there a way to allow that to go longer, like, forever where the car drives itself without the need for human input (although a hand can be close to adjust for incorrect computer input)? Just wanted to know if you know of anything...

That's something most of us would like but, with all due respect, trying to coax an average Honda to drive itself is a very bad idea. Other car manufacturers have put a ton of research, testing, and development into making their cars drive themselves, and their results are still not what you are asking for. This is asking for major trouble, as our cars simply don't have the sensors, processing power, or testing to drive themselves reliably. The stock ACC + LKAS is useful and is about as much as we should expect from the hardware and software we have.

So the Civic version shows Advance Settings, and in there is a "Park" option, which then allows on-the-fly settings to the default Navigation for the vehicle. Does the Ridgeline version have the Advance Settings, Park option?

I personally have not thought to switch out my head unit. Reason is that many of them in my experience lose some of the functionality that came with the vehicle in the first place such as the in bd resonators. I would hate to lose that feature as I use it frequently with my son. Im slowly working my way around the truck and who knows I may look into a new head unit but for now I do not intend on switching it out. I also love that my 2018 does not have a dial for the volume. I think it was dumb of Honda to succumb to people not able to adapt to new tech. Though some people may have had bad experiences, I don't think it was worth going backwards.

I have not seen a new update for the 2019 model yet and I hear you on the long boot up times. However, I do not think the load up time will ever change with any update or hack. This is part of the system process to boot up just like a cellphone. Take iPhone for example, its way more powerful than this head unit however it still takes about 30 seconds to 1 minute to load up.

Did you confirm the model and year that it’s applicable to your vehicle? Unfortunately a few people have made the mistake of buying the program with vehicles out of the supported years. That would be the main thing that I have seen. The information if you can’t find it is in my description for which years and which models are supported. I hope that it’s a supported year that you have and maybe just a reinstallation to the hard drive would clean it up. If not then not really sure.

If the Browser app does not exist in the App List, please follow the instructions in this KZbin video to enabled it. 5-Click the Start button and enter the authorization code. I have entered the auth code, for the last 10 min and the page reads redirecting and nothing is happening (three dots spinning)

For the audio you may have the wrong setting on your head unit. Example Bluetooth, aux etc… you need to change that. For new pipe, I’m not sure why it’s not working.

Hey Yuriy, Have you ever had an issue with your GPS system. I noticed a couple of days ago my clock wasn't displaying the correct time. Then checked the Maps and it was completely out of location. There was an update for it, so I downloaded from Garmin and installed it; this didn't do anything. Also, I unplugged the battery, but it didn't work either. Finally, did a factory reset. Now it reads "acquiring satellite" but it doesn't seem to find anything. Any ideas, recommendations? Thanks!

Yes, as long as you are connected to an internet source via a hot spot you can watch while driving. Since this hack doesn't remove the distracted driver setting which is where you touch the screen while driving you can watch my other video on how to disable the distracted driver setting so you can select videos or change them while driving.

I have not seen any issues since I installed this on my unit. I actually have been using it a lot more now that I move to Georgia with things being further away. I can let my son use my iPhone to watch his shows and then I can log in and have my show or movie running at the same time. Very convenient.

I've tried multiple times to install multiple times the clarion hack from the browser (Step #4: Launch the Browser app from the App List and navigate to...) The screen that says "Processing... DO NOT close the browser..." stays like this for a very long time without any progress. I waited for 40min and still didn't get to the next step. Am i missing something. I purchased the PRO hack and the license Key seems to be working. Also, is it normal if i try to install any type of APK, the install button at the bottom of the page is greyed out. My 2016 Honda Pilot Touring edition has the Android OS 4.2.2 installed. Not sure how to update that either. Any help Launch @Yuriy Motso would GREATLY be apricated. I see you answer questions pretty frequently so my fingers are crossed.

Thanks. Two days ago J. LIMA and I went back and forth on some trouble shooting in the comments. If you don’t mind reading that thread that my help a little. In the end, your vehicle is within the designated manufacture dates that’s supported so it should work “eventually”. For some reason everyone who runs into an issue it’s slightly different which method works. Hard to pinpoint what is the culprit for the issue.

@@YuriyMotso So i managed to install the Honda Hack and i thought I'd share my experience to maybe help someone else. After trying (Step #4: Launch the Browser app from the App List and navigate to...) like 5 times, it finally worked. I did so many things that I'm not sure exactly which one worked. I tried using my phone as a hotspot, that didn't work. Tried using my indoor home WiFi connection, that didn't work. I used an extension cord with a 25ft RJ45 cable and brought my router right on top of the car to get the best signal possible and that last time worked. I live in a busy neighborhood and I can only assume that there could be a lot of cross chatter with all the wifi signals in the area. The radio detected more than a dozen possible connections from different neighbors and that might've messed up with the install. One more thing I changed in my setting was to "allow USB debugging" feature in the android setup menu. Not sure if that affected anything but might be worth mentioning. (hold down POWER, MENU and CONTRAST at the same time for 5 sec. Once that screen changes, hold down MENU for 5 seconds) So key points here. 1) Turn off the radio, wait 30sec and restart it every time you try to do step#4, this will allow to reset your the unit and start from scratch. 2) Wait no more than 10min. If the app didn't install in that time, it most likely wont... go back to step #1 Anyway, thank you again Yuriy for your help and good luck with your channel

I am sorry you are having this issue. Unfortunately if you read my description and when you were downloading the file both locations state that it only works on ridgelines 2017-2018. I don't know why the developer has not made it work for 2019 and up but that is the reason why it's not working. I am sorry you experienced this issue.

You should be able to still run it from the web browser but there are some other features in the honda hack but I personally don't use them. the only one I use is the Netflix app and it works really well.

I can’t confirm if it will but let’s assume it can. The thing with this set up it’s easy to hide from Honda and you can delete it and revert back to stock if you went to Honda and then install again. So don’t think you would have an issue but I cannot confirm.

Sorry to hear that. I don't have a Honda Accord so can't walk you through it other than just wonder if you clicked the correct APK. Possible that you may need delete and reinstall it on your thumb drive. I would really be interested to know if you are able to resolve this issue so that I can learn and help others in the future. Is there a way to use the 5G? I don’t like using hotspot since I have 15gigs data a month. Some radios create their own hotspot. Can this radio do that?

Not sure about the apple car play. I would think that is available already on the 2016 pilot. Strange if its not. So sorry I can't be of any help there. As far as the head unit is concerned, no need to root the head unit. The program does everything itself.

So, you have to be connected to your device via wifi to run these apps, or only during install? Seems like a better hack would be to enable screen share from your device. Great vid, thanks!

So you have to use your phones hot spot to send the data to the head unit. I honestly use this feature way more than I thought. Used it about 4 times last week alone. Screen share would be awesome but again that is done via an internet connection so basically same as hot spot.

Hi I can’t install in my honda pilot 2016, i do everything but when i press next, the button install no works

You have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen and then the install button will appear. Let me know if it works.

@@DamianOzzy The Website says it doesn't work on that model year. however I am not sure if it will or won't.
