It’s good that you are fixing them before they are sold to customers. A leak on the high pressure fuel pump would end badly. Anyone remember the Ford Pinto? The car the exploded from butt stuff. They said it was cheaper to pay out lawsuits than it would be to fix it.

I hear ya although I rather it have run hours then picking it up and have to return within days, weeks, months to get a leaking fuel pump replaced.

If I were in that position, I'd do the standard break in for 1000 miles or so (varying speed & load as much as possible), before "submitting" to recall service. Initial break in while idling would be horrible for a new engine. Update: Oh, wait. These are yet-to-be-sold vehicles. No way I'm buying these, then.

@@randyosburn533 this is a one time thing and In a climate controlled environment. I’d be more concerned in near freezing temps. Although yes you shouldn’t idle your car for long hours on a consistent basis.

Honda has *ALWAYS cut corners* - I suffered in the past with 2ng gen. Acura MDX that had many cheap Honda parts built into the design that plagued me for years! they still make excellent cars overall especially when you compare their products to the domestic BIG 3 (often problematic) offerings

Last I checked (2024 model year), Sedans (including Si) sold in North America were made in Ontario, Canada, whereas Hatchbacks (excluding Type-R) were made in Indiana, USA. So them having different suppliers is plausible.

Whoa 24 hours? That is crazy. I just picked my 24 Sport up last night. They said they did the sniff test, but I am pretty sure that my car did not run for 24 hours in the shop lol. Is this something new from Honda? Err wait hold on. This if for yet to be sold vehicles only? Is that correct? FYI they said mine was fine.

While idling a car doesn't directly "plug up" a catalytic converter, it can contribute to its clogging over time because a catalytic converter needs to be at a high operating temperature to function properly, and idling does not generate enough heat to keep it optimally warm, potentially allowing unburned hydrocarbons to build up on the catalyst material inside the converter. (Source Google AI.)

after all the recalls and problems ive had on my 23 accord hybrid ex-l, they have for sure lost me as a customer. I will never buy another honda as long as I live. honda fell off in 2019 and everything before that is pretty much still awesome. Are you familiar with the lemon law? Or is there any buy back program? I want out of this car, i dont feel safe at all esp since it stays in my garage which is right below our bedroom. Im wondering if honda will buy it back without shafting me. Ive had this thing cut off on me in traffic before and need to be put in the shop. I have a few recalls already and now the more time goes on I feel like drivin my wifes 15 year old 200,000 mile toyota more every day. I hate this car so much it hurts

The last generation of Hondas. These recalls will cost millions. The prices will be pushed to next generation which will be wiped out once the Chinese EVs hit the market. Oh and my 2018 1.5T Accord on my channel shows that the problems started with 10th gen. Before that Hondas still stood for quality.
