i have hornet160R (2017 model). i have ridden 57000 Km so far. Engine still works like a charm. No rattling issue with body parts. Still smooth and vibrations free even at high speeds. no maintenance, only regular service. however, the chain loses quite often and another issue is silencer rusting (poor quality). Apart from it, i have never regreted buying this bike.

The same oil leakage issue near oil filler cap is also present in my unicorn 150 bs 4. The entire cap has been replaced many times, but still the leakage persist. This issue is regular in Honda's bikes and scooters.

That engine oil Leak is because there's a stuff inside that oil case which needs to be fit properly and the neutral switch is also linked to that, if its not fixed properly all these issues happen. You will have pickup issues and smoothness issues. Service centre guys can fix it. Looks like you got a bike that has manufacturing issue. The BS4 bike that I have have no issues till date. BS6 may have some manufacturing issues.

Even I faced so many issues with first generation Hornet. Most irony part is they won't address issues and they won't agree if vehicle is a defective piece. Being a common man it is very difficult to fight with these people. Only option we have is OLX or Quicker. My own definition of Honda Hornet: on paper it is most powerful but in reality it is useless with under power. Now I am a happy owner of Suzuki gixxer.

Gear start is ecu problem because there fi light show that and than brake is new that why it give less feedback and for hit issue one time check chain alignment , ( Oil issue I think is normal when winter but not sure ) ( one big question can thay give display or test bike to you as selling bike check it fist because thay all bike are mostly QC test are not done on that type of bike )

The problems which you stated about the built quality is absolute rubbish. I own the bike and I have no issues regarding built quality. The bike is very smooth and I recommend you to reconsider your statements. It may be that the problems are particularly in your bike. Specially the starter works perfectly even in the condition you showed is not working. I bought it two months prior to you. But I also strongly agree on the gear padel nut issue. I faced the issue on the second day of buying the bike.

Means I have to continue rev the engine to avoid this problem.🥺🥺🥺 . The main problem with my bike is there was garbage in the filter due to which this problem is happening. Oil leakage, Disc Brack heat up and not working, Gear lever Nut loosen, headlight low deam automatically, this are properly Manufacturers Default problems. Specifically Fix spot nut supposed to be welded, I have 200NS Bajaj did weld Nuts on Chassi for fitting so many bolts.

I was about to buy this bike before I decided to go for apache rtr 200 4v new edition blue color. Glad I went for it. It is very powerful in fact too powerful for commuting on our roads but I am loving it

It’s a good bike but test ride the BS6 model of Yamaha FZS because of performance aspects. You can also try out FZ25 as it’s price has decreased and now falls in same price range as Hornet 2.0

Brother I bought 390 adv and it has many more problems engine cuts off in 3rd and 4th gear in any speed when you press clutch and the company is not able to solve..If I rev it hard it says low oil pressure..

Bro i have hornet 160r abs. I have covered 30k in 1.7 years.. use it for every kind of usage. Everyday i ride over 100km for my work. i toured with it more than 7 times. Extreme tour was about 1500km with pillon with full of luggage crused 90-110 all day.. did go through all type r rough patches. I some times wonder how this bike is capable of these without having a single issue. Dont know about hornet 2.0, I agree the service is shit of honda . That's why i never serviced from honda after first service they didn't even tightened my rear wheel well after the service i almost killed myself on road while coming back. But after that i haven't any issues from the bike.. as i ride it so hard. No such quality issues. Not a single fiber part is broken. The brake noise was there when the bike was new.. but after it was cleaned and beds in no noise till now. No oil leakage issues. Getting over 620-630km of tank range including reserve. Sad to hear from ur side. Report to honda with all hornet 2.0 owners i think they will solve the issues. But i haven't hard these issues from my friend who bought 2.0 though.. ** I use motul 7100 10w40 after 1st service. I was facing gear shifting issues when it was running with other oils. After motul the gear box is like jelly, no gear shifting issues till now. And very less vibes over 105kmph.

Yes i agree with you....our Honda Activa 6G with poor build quality ....handle problem...stand problem....switch gear problem etc....i understand your feelings...hope they resolve in future
