At first, I was getting 18km.l and then I watched what the Japanese people were doing and the recommendation was to dive with SPORT MODE + Adaptive Cruise Control set to 30lm. It fills the battery up faster and you can move it to Normal (highway) or Eco (city) for ev-driving. My gas went from 18 to 21. I take US36 to fill the tank and I drive for about 3.5 weeks between refills.

Hey Lim, great review. I like the mods you did. I have also done some modifications similar to yours including upgrading 18 inch rims and tires. I thought I should let you know the change of wheels has very little effect when it comes to fuel efficiency so its really down to the way you are driving. 11. 6 km is very low. That's what I was getting on a 2014 Toyota Aqua with a failed Hybrid Battery system. I get 19.8 km to 20.1 Km per litre on average with the HR-V and that's with AC always on in very hot climate, regular stops and traffic taking into consideration. Drive more eco friendly to see better results and remember to select eco mode as well.

Rear door is due to weight. Add sound proof materials will make the door heavier and will close the door with lesser effort

I believe the dashcam only gives you audible alerts. But Honda Sensing not only gives audible alerts but also actually gives driving feedback to the driver e.g.: auto emergency braking for the front, steering wheel readjust itself and vibrates when you swerve to another lane unintentionally. So, the dashcam definitely do not give you the same thing as Honda Sensing

You’re spot on with that. The dashcam is just a voice whereas HS itself is integrated into the vehicle.

I like the stock rims, goes well with the rice cooker looking hrv, I am more inclined towards the ehev model, I like electric motors. You get to run ac for about 10 minutes on battery.

I went for the E variant because of the underpower part as im a driver who always rush to places due to a busy schedule, I hope honda drop this 1.5 engine for S variant and uses the 1.8 NA instead for the facelifted S variant.

Tbh I wanted to go for E as well. But I felt that for E, I was just buying an engine upgrade. The interior and most remain the same. The reasonable one for me was the V, but too far for budget, so I decided to settle for the S. But you're right about the 1.8NA. Hopefully the 1.5 gets dropped.

Oh boy, the S variant can get 11km/L to 12km/L, while Turbo variant V can get 13km/L to 14km/L. Of course, variant RS way beyond this two.

No issues. The twisty and curvy road towards Ipoh can be driven very easily. Most other cars still climbing. It ultimately depends on how hard you wanna press the pedal.

If you actually have ridden a Merc IRL, this Honda is better. Merc is all posh, and you’d spend hundreds of £ for maintenance, especially the AMG. Honda’s build quality is more solid than Merc.

Yeah I did. Only the front portion actually. Personally the place that I went was just OK so wouldn't really recommend.
