If torqued according to Honda specifications the blades will be easy to swing. That’s the point of them.

I usually just put the spring washer on its side, give it a hit to put a bend back in the washer to stop thr blade from moving.

Yeah I have done the same , but sometimes the bent part snaps because of the poor quality steel in some of these washers . Again I find genuine parts better

Hi Neil , the band keeps the blade tight until the next blade change . I mow lots of lawns so I am changing them every few weeks in the summer
