I tried the 130 kit from wild bore and experienced overheating, when i pulled it down i think the cylinder is too tight in the cases and nipping up the piston at the bottom of the stroke,did you have to relieve the cases at all? I don't think it would be much but im putting it back to standard as i just want to ride it

Surprised at the outcome of the TB cam. Was considering getting one to go with my big bore but I won't bother now. Really disappointing that, you'd think it would liven it right up.
@frashd3 жыл бұрын
I was disappointed too mate. The rocker contact point is on a crazy angle too. The noise was really bad too. Even with valve clearances at 0.002'. I will do more testing with more mods soon.

@@frashd might be worth raising it with TB parts and see if they can send you a replacement that's any better, could have been an incrroectly machined batch or something? Always worth an ask.

But where's the fan to cool the engine? And thankyou for the video.
@frashd5 ай бұрын
It's one pull on the dyno with an engine making not much power. Fan is not required

Hi mate just wondering if you'll do a video of a rear wheel change out and refit for a tyre/tube change on a NBC110? Can't find anything specific to this one job on YT. Even the Lambda channel doesn't really have anything useful. Really want to do it myself but don't want to stuff it up. Tia.
@Philip-hv2kc5 ай бұрын
I did that at Easter weekend. Removed sprocket spindle and brake shoe plate which meant hours more work. I think now that sprocket spindle could remain in place if axle ain't completely withdrawn , also brake shoe plate could be left dangling without needing to be disconnected because the spacer might allow enough wiggle room when wheel's removed . Also helps if the ground falls away from the rear wheel when bike propped on centre stand or dig away some earth so that wheel can be easily dropped down . 17 and 19 mm combined open end/ ring spanners . The chain tensioner may not even need the 12 n 10 mm spanners for loosening up. It's all seared well into my memory .

What kind of improvement or other effects could you expect to see with the airbox removed entirely and an aftermarket pod-style air filter installed in its place? Is there a chance that'd be worth it over just modifying the OEM airbox?
@frashd Жыл бұрын
No not really, one hole made a difference but two holes just made more induction noise. You need air speed.

Hey champ fitted a 130 bigbore kit to my NBC 110 cub how did you change the fuel mixture been EFI

Hey mate, they run rich fr factory. And closed loop to almost wide open throttle

hey mate have u had any problems with the bike ever since u did the big bore
@frashd2 жыл бұрын
No mate. I sold the bike last year and know the new owner. He hasn't had any problems either. There will be more movies coming..... I bought a CT110 2006.

Hi mate, what diameter piston are you running? Cheers.

Hi Mate, the piston was a 54mm on all 3 big bore kits

FRASHD tuning - Did the further lightening of the piston make the engine run any smoother?
@frashd2 жыл бұрын
Yes mate, it ran as smooth as a standard 110
@DeanMk12 жыл бұрын
@@frashd Excellent! I would've never thought to relieve "buzz" by lightening the piston. That's genius. I was wondering if you ever gave any thought to porting the head? Since you increased cylinder volume by about 18%, it stands to reason that port volume should probably be increased by the same amount, otherwise you're choking off the engine at higher rpm. ..of course, by the same token, you should increase the size of the carburetor by the same amount as well....do they even make bigger carb's for that engine?
@frashd2 жыл бұрын
@@DeanMk1 the NBC110 is fuel injected. Also larger porting was further down the list of mods to do. Throttle body was next.

@@frashd did you end up getting a larger throttle body? I've been looking at the Kitaco one and their fuel controller too. Already ordered a Kitaco exhaust but not had it delivered yet.
@paulrichards22392 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. you removed the oil temp sensor can I ask why.
@frashd2 жыл бұрын
The oil temp sensor controls cold start fueling. I tried disconnecting it to add extra fuel when I fitted the camshaft. Turns out the aftermarket camshaft required no extra fuel.. (this is a good indicator that the cam flows no more air than factory cam)
@paulrichards22392 жыл бұрын
@@frashd yeah ok thx reckon it would work just with the loud exhaust n the extra holes in the air box
@frashd2 жыл бұрын
@@paulrichards2239 the airbox hole helped, just do one side. And the big bore kit. I didn't rate the exhaust. Too loud for me.
