This is my dream bike. Currently riding a little Rebel 250 that does 90% of what I need it for, but maybe some day will find a nice 550 with that 6-speed and 7k punch. Thanks for posting, you seem very blessed.

@@Backyard_Motorsports yeah I'm trying to find one but if you ever decide to sell it or trade it for one other bike You also have a Honda civic right .I have a 86 Honda Crx all original

@@christiancoronado4959 that’s a cool car, you should bring it to the vtec tuning meet if you live in Cali

@@christiancoronado4959 surprised you haven’t seen one for sale, I catch them on fb marketplace a lot. The 650 is just as good if not better and they make a 700cc Nighthawk s that is very similar but with a cool plastics and different shaped tank

Im 54 years old .. current bikes a goldwing & a GSXR 1000R liter bike .. but my all time fav was my 1984 nighthawk 550 .. why. ? All my best memories were in that bike 40 years ago .. lost my virginity - out ran cops - cruise phx city streets etc.. my first was a cb 350 .. then this 550 .. then the 700 nighthawk.. 550 was better 😉

Goldwings are cool and the gixxer is rad! That’s cool you had some good memories with a Nighthawk, it seems like it’s just a good all around bike. You should get another one, it seems like they aren’t very valuable. And I’m sure you know better than me but they sound so good.

My first street bike ever was a nighthawk. I loved it. It made me so excited. Very fun! Such a fun, easy to ride bike!

Yeah! I think it makes a great first bike!

I had a Nighthawk like this one and it was a nice bike. Wish I could find one like it again

I wonder if we took a survey, would Honda people like the 550 or 650 Nighthawk better? I have a 400, 550, and 750. 550 is my fave.

I love my 550 too but that is the only one I’ve ridden. I really like the 700cc nighthawk s too. I just think it looks cool. Interesting you like the 550 over the 750.

I prefer 650

Can I ask how tall are you? I like the orignal pull back bars, I’m 6ft… Looking at an ‘83 550 here in the UK next week, they’re uncommon here and can go for the equivalent of $3000!
@Backyard_Motorsports Жыл бұрын
I probably should have elaborated more on this, I am 6’2” but it’s also about ride position preference. I felt like I had to be sitting straight up with the original bars and I like to be leaned over some.

Thanks, that’s helpful. I liked your review, great country…although you could do with a few more corners to ride ‘round! I’ve been riding for 30 years but I’m still drawn to these 80’s, mid-capacity bikes. Ride safe.

@@bjtk7789 yeah not too many cool turns haha I love these 80’s bikes too, they sounds great, look cool, there’s a lot to like about them in my opinion. Good luck purchasing one!

Actually the only made the 83 550 for 1 year and only made 1000 of then
@christiancoronado4959 Жыл бұрын
Well you ever sell it or maybe trade it
@Backyard_Motorsports Жыл бұрын
I suppose but only if I could replace it with a similar bike. I want a super hawk for example but I wouldn’t want to sell this to get it, the Nighthawk is so comfortable and easy to ride. I just added a rack that I posted a video on a couple weeks ago so I can make even more trips with it. I love how approachable and affordable this bike is which is why I made the video on it, I think it has something for a lot of people!
