HONDA NSC 50 & 110 VISION, COMPARISON AND BUYERS GUIDE.

Great comparsion, thank you. I am thinking about Vision 110 or Honda SH125. The bike is probably gonna be ridden all year, exposed to the elements and possibly even salt. So I am leaning more towards Vision, since it is cheaper. You can almost get two of these for the price of a SH125 where I live. SH of course is much more advanced bike. Led lights, better suspension, more power etc. Do you think there could be some modifications that can get 110 to say 100km/h at least?

Hi. If you are going to take the Vision into salt then do all you can to protect all painted steel parts with anti corrosion oil, and chromed parts like fork tubes and caliper pistons with gun care grease for instance. Or you just use the bike until it is "used up" and then buy a new one. Regarding higher speed, yes you should be able to get more speed with a Polini high speed variator. There is a version also for the 110 cc Vision. (I have made a video called "Derestricted" where I do this conversion on a 50 cc Vision, it could be worth looking at.) There is also a company in Asia (do not remember the name) that makes similar high speed variators for the 110 cc Vision.

I know this video is over a year old. But do both of the modell use the same parts? Like cover and such?

A lot of parts are the same but not everything. If you with "cover" mean the painted plastic parts, it looks so, but haven't taken the bikes apart into every little detail. When in doubt, just call a Honda dealer that sells spares. If the part number goes for both bikes, then they are of course the same. You can also find part number lists with exploded views here and there on internet. Please note that a few years ago when the 50 cc version was discontinued (at least around here), the 110 cc version got a bit of a face lift and some updates to the engine etc.

the dull paint is now on 2 of 3 available colours in sweden for the 110 (blue or black is dull and grey is shiny). Were you making comments about it being easy to fix up the dull paint because its also easier to damage it?

Hi. Kind of lost track of your question. The dull paint holds up well, even though one can not polish away any minor scratches for instance. I made the video because I was surprised of how good the result was after having resprayed the head lamp cover, using ordinary aftermarket spray cans.

Megane RS? Nothing in pipeline right now. In terms of videos I mix quite a bit from whatever I bump into in my "vehicle life" :-)
