I had one and loved it. Handling was fantastic but it couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding. I had a tzr 125 after it and it was miles ahead in every department.

You are right, Honda nsr is a good bike but Yamaha was the best when it comes to 2 stroke engines. My 1989 tzr was a rocket and also very reliable

Mine is in similar condition what hp was this one pushing mine is a jc22 italian import it is pushing 55 hp

i think this one is standard/restricted so it would be 13hp

The last 125cc 2 stroke Moto gp bikes had 55hp. I doubt that you have 55hp on your Nsr

yes you can, in the early 2000s this was one of the three superstar learner legal bikes - Honda NSR125, Cagiva Mito 125 and Aprilia RS125

Its Italian believe it or not 🤣 i did love mine but it seized on me after fitting a 180cc barrel 😢

If you didn't also upgrade the oil pump it would have been oil starved

Always bad idea fitting bigger barrel u never get the same reliability as the factory spec
