Honda Odyssey Air Filter Change 2000 - 2004

I know this is an old video but for whatever this is worth, my 2000 had AC lines running on the front and right side of the filter housing. I can't remove the cover completely - I just had to jiggle it in there. Still informative thank you. If anyone still has one of these old vans, I'd highly recommend a transmission cooler for them.

Thanks for this video. I didn't see the back screws. Very helpful. Also a big middle finger to Honda engineering. Literally every other car I have ever had, the engine air filter can be changed without any fasteners. Why can't you use the same clips everyone else does, Honda?

Thanks, I managed to replace the filter without unclipping the hose. Even with the hose still connected you can raise the top filter housing enough to swap the filter. Also, you can also use an 8mm socket to remove the screws.

Don't have to undo the stupid 'band'...on the big hose to the Air Box. Just undo the 4 screws at each corner of Air Box ( couple are down in there a bit; use long flat blade driver on rear ones...) the entire box will lift up enough to remove the old Filter, then slip in a new one. It's very very simple. Waste of time, 'fighting with and undoing the giant stupid hose part. Don't even fool with it. I have the '04 Odyssey. Took me 60 seconds to replace the Filter. your welcome.

You totally don’t have to undo the hose to replace a filter just unscrew the housing and it lifts up enough to replace it! Much better than risking breaking anything else in the process!
