Awesome video man. I've had a love for civics as a kid, and also really liked a Subaru Legacy I owned. That thing turned into a money pit due to my nativity and lack of mechanical knowledge. I don't see myself resurrecting's that car. Finding out about these really stuck in my mind that I'd love to have one, and I feel I could justify the potential purchase. The parts availability and ease of maintenance make it a pretty realistic car to own that's unique to the states.

Hi! Sorry for the bad English. This is a wonderful video, I couldn't miss it and watched it completely. I have owned Orthia 2000 Type S since 2015. At one time, a lot of these cars were imported into my country. I am glad that there are the same enthusiasts on the other side of the world :) good luck to you!

Can i make a correction, i own two Orthias. It actually sits on a rd1 crv subframe, but many parts are interchangable with ek civic except suspension parts are only interchangeable with the crv. If doing the ek front swap you need to change the radiator mount as well. Thank you for highlighting this great car, heaps of them in New Zealand

@@battles.digital I should i make a correction, Front of orthia the same as a ek however the rear is subframe is crv. No worries, my fav cars. Both of them i have are manual one 1.8 and 2.0 litre

Seen someone install EG hatch coils and rear lower control arms, would they fit properly on my 1996 4wd orthia?

Yes they did make a manual 4wd version 1.8 and 2.0 litre versions but not very common

I was looking at buying a 97 Orthia for mail delivery but my mechanic was saying I would have to import all of the parts. What kind of brake pads/rotors/calipers would be interchangeable with that? Would it also be a civic?

Are noses between Orthia and Civic VI really fully replaceble? 😧 I would buy Headlights for my Orthia but the price is higher than all this replacable parts from Civic🤕

Absolutely you can. Just need to trim a couple things in the front end.

It should be the same as a 96-00 Civic. Also, you might could try an RD1 CR-V hitch if that doesn’t fit properly. Either should be very close.

@@battles.digital I have been looking for a replacement window visor (with clips) for my 1996 e-el3 Orthia. I have a part's manual but shows the door assembly without the visor. I have also seen online that the door assembly is available with the visor on it but I don't want to buy a whole door just to replace the visor. is there a part number for just the left door visor/ wind guard? What part's catalog do I need that shows this? Where can I get one sent to the USA?
