You made the right choice by not buying a Polaris. I bought a 2011 Ranger lightly used and couldn't imagine why someone even traded it in. Now I know why. After 3 years of battling problems, I hate it. Were going trail riding out west this spring and there's no way I'm taking it. We have a local Honda dealer so that's probably the way I'm going. Good video.

Good choice on machine. I have the four seater. The one thing that annoyed me about the Pioneer was the door rattles. You may experience it as well....unless Honda fixed that problem with the 2017. Polaris are nothing but problems. Yeah they have the looks and the power but they do not have the reliability

That's what I did. I put a small plastic chair thingy on the door side opposite the bumper. A roll of electrical tape fixed all my squeaking areas I have the 4 seater so I did both front doors both back doors and raised the bed and did all the latches in the bed it fixed all my squeaking. Yes it is a band aid but a role of tape is cheap. Just my 2 cents

You will like the machine it has plenty of power, and nice over all. Doors rattle and get on my nerves from time to time, and I wish there was more storage but overall its good. Check out the forums online just google Honda Pioneer 700 forum. Then join those, there is alot of cool ideas and stuff on there where people have added mods and such. I just started my rocker switch panel for extra lights and stuff.

Nice job Aaron. I have the 700-4 and it's done everything I've asked of it and more. We had a hundred-plus year old oak fall and had to cut it up into chunks which I loaded onto a trailer with a Bobcat. I'd load that trailer so full I thought the axle might break and the Pioneer just walked off with it every time. My only wish is that they had put the unlocking rear diff on it like the 1000. It tears up the ground pretty good and so I don't use it around the yard and garden as much as I would otherwise.
@MrMrsregor
@MrMrsregor 2 жыл бұрын
at 3:00 it has a lever for 2wd, 4wd, and 4wd diff lock .?.. is yours different ? or is this just a selector for front diff lock or center diff lock ?
@classicjag76

@@MrMrsregor that's for locking the front differential, but the rear differential is always locked. Only the pioneer 1000 has the un-locking rear differential.

I bought a 16 pioneer 1000 brand new off the floor, and at 800 miles it decided to break the counter balance shaft in half and blow a huge hole in the side of the engine. This machine is like brand new! 6 weeks out of factory warranty and Honda pretty much said oh well and took a steamy dump on my chest! So i have a 14k boat anchor if anyone is interested lol.

The reliability of the Polaris would equal out the value or how much you spent on the Honda after a couple months that Polaris she’s gonna break and it’s gonna equal out the price or more money than you paid for that Honda I won hundred percent agree with you always go with Honda and can you make an update video on the Machine if you still have it

Aaron..Have you had the 700 in rugged terrain where you had to go slow and did you have any issues with it there..I think I would like to see a low range but after driving one at a dealer I'm not sure it would be needed..I have a use where I need to go about 4mph , spraying/fertilizing but after a tryout it may handle that well..Your thoughts here..I am concerned about how well it may say creep over rocks , logs etc. in the mountains..Your thoughts here..Again Thanks..Gary

Nice man..take a look at the accessories on the Honda website, i believe they do make a tray that fits under the hood to make a storage compartment out of it. My only complain about this machine is the lack of a low range...did you ever feel the need for it? Ive seen some footage of people going sand or mud riding and the machine just simply bogging down with "no power" (or better saying, no low gear)...which made me a bit afraid to go for it..

I have a 17 P4 and all my doors rattle. You can adjust the rubber door bump stops. I turned mine out as far as i could without them falling off every time a door was opened. It made a huge difference but i still get a rattle depending on RPM range and who or what i have loaded in it. Good choice on the machine. I use mine every day for play and work and i love it. But i think i will be upgrading to the 1000-5 soon.

Be really careful with a Honda Pioneer 700. It is not engineered to take it off road. The air filter is really weak. Stick some kind of aftermarket air filter on it or you'll have a mess.

2nd time I've seen you make this comment. The 700 has the same air filter as thousands of other ATV's and SxS's: Oiled foam, and it works perfectly as long as you clean and re-oil it occasionally. Sounds like maybe you didn't do that.
