@@brianthompson324 please don’t limit the things you can do because of age. I’d start with motorcycle safety course. My dad was 68 when he first got his M1 license!

This is awesome! I've recently gotten the motorcycle bug and am hoping to take the MSF course soon so I can learn to ride! I've also been researching as to what will be the best first bike for me and the Honda Rebel 500 has been on my radar for awhile, and the more I think about it and research, it seems like the best suited bike for me once I do the MSF course and get my endorsement, so it's nice to find someone who's riding and enjoying it so I can see how it rides and handles. Looks like a wonderful and very forgiving bike! Very proud of you for the accomplishment you've achieved!! Stay safe out there and have fun!

Hello! You can never go wrong with honda rebel 500. The power is not overwhelming for new riders and definitely will not underperform.

Great job! At 5’5”, you’d be the tallest in my family 😂 (I’m only 4’11”, and my mom was shorter.) I love this color of the 500-I had a 2019 Rebel 500, and traded it in for my 1100, but I’m considering a 500 again after having rented one in Hawaii. I missed how light it is and to be able to flat foot a bike!

Well done. I started traveling from home to work..about 30mins ride. Had someone ride with me the first time which was great. I also knew the roads . When I wanted to travel further I rode with them again. They would stop to tell me what to improve on. Was fantastic. Still learning too.

Check out the Kawasaki offering as well. The Eliminator. A very similar motorcycle with a few differences you might prefer.

Hey AB, at the 7:23 & the 7:43 minute mark- there was a green light on your dash dial that lit up, and, a couple other times in the early part of the video-what was that "idiot light" at the center of the dash for? I'm seriously considering the rebel 500 for my first bike(I'm 58 years young now) I know I need to start out on a small "cc"d motorcycle. Doug🏍️👍😁🤓😎

Hello Douglas! That’s the Neutral indicator. You will never regret it when you get a rebel 500. As long as you know what you’re getting (its limitations) you will be pretty much happy and contented. I love it so much!

@@BayawMoto I have not had anyone explain all the "idiot lights" on the dash, so, this is new to me. I'll need to do more research on the model before I go head long into getting a motorcycle I don't fully know. Thank-you for your quick response to my question.🏍️👍😁🦅🐻 Doug

Question, is the display hud easy to see during a bright sunny day? Does it give you the option to brighten it for daytime or nighttime ?
@BayawMoto

Display is pretty hard to see under direct sunlight, but pretty visible during night time. I don’t think there’s an option to brighten up the display.
