Yep I've gone through that, you have to hold the center while you tighten the nut !
@paapali2 жыл бұрын
ookay, for anyone that still might watch this: when you tighten the nut, use a screwdriver to hold the thing you adjust still- that way you only have to do it once instead of 50 times each.
@janvanderkruyk2 жыл бұрын
I agree, and after adjusting it first tight the nut a little and check again if it's still okay before tighting it completely.

I have knocking at idle, feels like something metal is lose and bouncing on vibration every few seconds at random times I mean it doesn't have rhythm so to speak. My bike is new on 5000 miles, I only changed the oil so far.

+Drererere DerererereIf it helps anyone turns out this was a worn out chain tensioner (5k miles) and apparently it's a very common problem.

DaBinChe, You are the best, watched all your videos and my SH150i is in tip top condition. One of the best scooters around, still.. Better that the PCX [I'm 56] PCX is to Bubblegummy for me.. Just the ticket for the traffic crap in Sydney... Not to mention the parking..

Hi, now I am owner sh 125i, year 2016 bought as new. I can't find mark for top position of valve. Thank you all best
@DaBinChe3 жыл бұрын
use the mark on the cam sprocket and a pen in the spark plug hole

@@DaBinChe Firstly I just move intake and exhaust to position both closed, that is when they reach max height. After staring it was terrible, very rough sound. Later I found that wheel you have to move is behind radiator (on your model radiator is on the front) my got it on right side, took off radiator and on that wheel there are marks T and I think F. So moved to position T. On frame is mark so fited with F. But result same very rough sound. On intake 005 on exhaust 010. I try to play with it but don't see much positive prospect. Guy in servisu can do it but 40 pound just for collection and 80 pound got job. If you know it's max 15 min job
@DaBinChe3 жыл бұрын
@@04poppop The T and F mark goes around twice for each time the piston is actual TDC on the compression stroke. The other time it is TDC at the exhaust stroke. So you have to make sure you are at the TDC compression stroke. That is why you need to double check the cam gear marks. The adjustment is about 20min. but taking all the crap off is easily twice as long so figure it to be an hour labor at least.

If you follow Honda's service manual it say to line up the timing marks to be at TDC. You don't really need to go by the marks, just need the cam lobes to be on the opposite side of the rocker arms. When the marks are lined up both intake and exhaust will be closed. When not using the timing marks as long as the cam lobes are not activating the rocker arm it is fine. In this case the rocker arms are at the top of cams so if you set the cam lobes pointing at the piston they will be away from the rocker arms
