Honda Silverwing 600. Starter changeout

I'm in the same boat, had trouble starting and opened the bike down to the engine and tapped it with the engine with a rubber mallet and it started right up. But it starts strong so I'm wondering if it just needs lubricating

hey bro, having the same problem with starter (at least I assume) - when I try to start the engine, I only hear a "click" sound under the seat I wanted to try to tap the starter with hammer a couple of times and try to start the engine at least so I can take it to the mechanic but don't know how to do it tho, any help is welcome
