Great work dino. Just sold my bike. Now biased between Shine SP , Unicorn & Gixxer... main concern being reliability... Since gixxer 150 naked doesn't have kick start... Please advise me... Unicorn has dated parts & an efficient engine but still everyone is telling me to go for Unicorn eyes closed... But the 1.21 lacs for a non feature rich commuter is stinging me... Where as the Naked Gixxer 150 has advanced features... Now that unicorn is costing me around 1.21 Lacs in my city... With 5 years b2b & Gixxer BS6 is nearly 1.44 which one will be the better choice....? My primary usage is city office commute & occasional weekend drive aways... My height is 5 feet 3 & am an ex ZMR owner... love to ride fast... age is 34.. I m a bit skeptical about the rear wheel width of Unicorn, Hornet has been discontinued .. but equally scared about gixxer not having kick start... & the pillion split seat being too short for family ride(can it be modified to a softer single seat?)... I am a karizma ZMR sufferer. If I go for SP 125 grey matt axis grey.. & change the rear tyre with Michelin Sirac street...will it hold up with only 10 bhp power?...( Both the bikes unicorn & Gixer BS6 are currently sold out in showrooms in my metro city Kolkata,... so I guess I have to wait 15-20 days...) I really like the Gixxer 150 naked one... But still reconsidering because of my experience with ZMR. On bike breakdowns for the local mechanics often found that they hardly have any expertise for modern fuel injected bike parts... Had to suffer due to self start up issues..a lot. I am sort of a rough driver.. mostly driving in excess of 50-80 in City & 95-115 on highways.... but I care & maintain my vehicle well...Please help me decide. I seek reliability & low maintenance cost from my next vehicle.

@@selfishasiif4303 Bro HONDA SP125CC BS6 bike is a wonderful bike. I have travelled 2920 Kms till now. Without any hesitation u purchase this bike. Present I am getting a mileage of 79 Kms in highway and in local city driving I am getting 73 Kms mileage... No drawback nothing.. But one thing I would like to tell you that FRONT LED HEADLIGHT is not powerful when compared to normal Halogen bulb headlight. And tyres are 80/100-18inch Tyres. These tyres are designed for better mileage hence linear tyres that's it. Very good and attractive bike. When I ride it on road everybody looks at me. Very good road presence bike.

You will get eco mode in upto 58 kms. For that give the throttle upto 60 or 61 kms and just release the throttle a little. Then the eco light will on again.

If we purchse the disc bike of sp 125, then it having CBS breaking system. With this effect, when we are pressing rear break in speed ride. It applies both rear and front tyres. But with effect of disc in front it may be skidding or not. So can we go for disc bike or drum bike

@@Vijimn1 bro main difference is there is no starter motor and the Rocker arms have needle roller bearings(i think no other bikes in below 400cc have it.. it reduce friction and wear).. also fuel injection is introduced.. a point to note is that this same engine with fuel injection is there in many other countries for may be last 10 years... so it is tried and tested engine.. and Honda is the king of fuel injection as they invented it... so it is not like indian companies trying fuel injection for the 1st time.. 100% trustable..

No one should buy this bike just by looking at its mileage !! It's been 7 months since I started using this bike. Due to the small size of the tyre, the bike is more prone to crashing when it jumps into a pothole.The brakes are also a bit harder to get at 70/80 km/h.If you are looking for a bike from Honda which provides you with a great mileage along with a superior performance then go for CB Unicorn without any hesitance.
