Something to think about. Just saw a vid on the Talon 0-60. Between stock tire and 32". Stock +/- 10sec. 32" +/-15 sec. Would’ve made a dig difference I think. Thanks for the content. Always fun and interesting.

Hey you guys I hate to say it but I think the old Gauntlet back at dark house is a lot more challenging Gauntlet course then the one that you guys are currently running at your shop I would really love to see some of those Vehicles me and ran at the old gauntlet even with the higher horsepower it would make it even more challenging to get it around the old Gauntlet course with the higher horsepower

I just picked up a General XP and the first thing I noticed is how flat it feels in the corners for such a big unit. It would be awesome to see some mods done to it possibly clutch, springs and exhaust would be awesome. Thanks again for the great content 👍 love the channel 🤘

I’m torn between a General and a Talon X. Hear a lot about the Polaris having trouble with reliability. Seems like the Polaris SxS is worn out by 6000 miles, but a Honda would keep rolling along past 20,000.

Not saying your completely wrong but don't yxz beat on the belt machines in short course? Not to mention the Honda does have much larger and heavier tires on it compared to stock and I think that general has stock tire setup.

@@nathanbaier9929 You're right, I'm just busting balls. I see the YXZ's success in short course, but when you see them in the dunes going up hills it sounds mean, just not fast (unles they have a Turbo). And I wish the Talon came stock with bigger tires, so 32's wouldn't starve it so bad.

It’s sad that Polaris hasn’t learned to put a real transmission in a side by side or anything for that matter. Talon is much more reliable and will definitely last longer

im still undecided on a side by side or ATV. I don't care which one costs more, it comes down to experience. This is my only concern...Everyone likes do the driving and rip thru trails. On a side by side, there is always a possible 3 people not doing the driving. Where on a ATV, there are more chances of getting that thrill, than to be a passenger in a side by side. If i was apart of a family or friend group, i would want more people to get the experience at carving out the trails, then to be just sitting there as a passenger. I think a side by side resembles more of a truck and SUV off-roading experience, because everyone is sitting down in a vehicle. Where an ATV resembles more of a dual sport bike, jet ski, & snowmobile. Because you are sitting down on it like a horse, instead of a vehicle seat And with that said, because of how huge the side by side market has become, i think it has kinda takin away with that small engine toy experience. Like you are getting on a horse and riding-off on an engine. Where a side by side leans much more towards a real off road vehicle. Riding a ATV down the same trail, it is going to be much more exciting than to be driving 3 other people around? What are your thoughts on my comparison?

Love watching your videos, but I feel the talon can go a bit faster. On the tracks I race on my times between the talon 1000x and Rs1 are within .5 of each other, so there’s no reason the general should’ve won.

I honestly wasn't thrilled when you guys hooked up with Cleetus (because I like Cleetus), but I had only watched about 2 of your videos prior. You just seemed so half-assed (the Textron XX jump comes to mind). However, I have now watched a lot of your videos (because I'm looking into a sxs purchase) and I apologize for dismissing all of you. You guys work hard, know you shit, and play hard too. Not everything is going to be perfect and you do what you can to make things even keel. I'm in the process of going through a TON of your vids, and I'm definitely a new sub. I hopefully can find some trail/sport comparo's and also some real-world (educated with a large sample size) opinions on makes/models through your videos. I’d be happy with either machine, but.....for everyone that says Polaris is junk, and not a true comparison because the Honda had oversized tires robbing its power blah blah blah, this comparison is between one company’s top sport model against one company’s suv. If the Talon gained a couple seconds then the best you could say is one company’s top sport model slightly edged out another company’s suv. Shouldn’t the “real” gears overcome the big tires if “real” gears are better. When the “real” gear machines come from the factory with the same power as rzrs and canams then we can see if they are so much stronger and more durable. Reminds me of the local fair having an ATV drag race back when scramblers first came out and there were some kids in the stands laughing because the local Polaris dealer was there with a “snowmobile”. It was a new scrambler that cleaned the competition, even Yamaha tri z’s. Lucky for them they didn’t bring a snowmobile or it would have been more embarrassing. Of course Doug knows a few things about dragging sleds.

I own a Talon, big thing is its not a cvt!! Kind if a given i know but its easy to forget. Dont drive it like such. Blipping the throttle like ya do on a belt will give you trouble. The brain on the talon knows what you want, itll do pretty much exactly what you want especially with a trans tune for the big turrres :)

All I can say is qe go out with a bunch a guys probably 8 weeks a year everywhere on the eastern USA. All brands are in the group. Honda Talon is the only one that has not broke down ever. All other brands one way or the other qe end up working on them on the trail.
