Finally a TRX Hybrid CRF.. Does it go faster if yes how fast does it go?
@HondaRacingHolland3 жыл бұрын
Compared to a stock Trx450 motor with full exhaust and open airbox, the top speed is about the same, the CRF won't go much faster top speed wise, but it does accelerate much much faster, the CRF has more HP than the TRX has. In the Netherlands its a very common thing to build CRF's in Trx frames.

I thought it would go faster for sure ok thanks nice to know .. I might ask more question because I’m going to do the same project.. here I don’t even know one person that did it so that’s why it’s nice to see one on youtube 👍🏻👍🏻

@@randygarza1415 ok but now it’s getting more and more populaire but its more LTR hybrid CRF450.. here is my question.. I’ve noticed that especially 2020 crf450 it’s running on pump fuel you have to buy a fuel tank from walsh .. but I’ve seen you are running with a trx stock tank ? So I’m guessing 09-14 not running on pump fuel or?

Im running pump fuel, and using the oem tank, the petcock holes are blocked off and a hole has been drilled underneath the tank to get the crf450 fuel pump in. They glued it in place whit Some type of adhisive, but this trick Does not work on all oem fuel tanks, The adhesive wont stick/hold on all model years of tanks

I'm doing a 2008 crf450x motor in a 2005 trx450 frame. I have to slide the motor all the way to the left so the sprockets will line up with each other. Did you have to modify the swingarm bushing sleeves?
@HondaRacingHolland Жыл бұрын
The Sprocket side sleeves have been made shorter, te clutch side sleeves are the same size. The bushings in the engine cases has 1 originele bushing And one side has a thicker bushing, not sure wich side that was
@davidking606 Жыл бұрын
@@HondaRacingHolland oh ok. I thought there would be some modifications to the bushings. I already made the front motor mounts so now I will work on the swingarm mounts. Thanks for the reply. I might be reaching out again if I have questions. Thanks.

If u pause the video at 1:20 u can see that the right case bushing is thicker. Left bushing is stock Also the notch in the frame for the intake tube
@davidking606 Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah I see it now. Did you notch the frame? Nice job. Thanks.

@Jackson-ml1nj2 жыл бұрын
How did u do ur fuel pump setup I see u used the plastic tank
@HondaRacingHolland2 жыл бұрын
Its the oem tank, the petcock holes are blocked off and underneath the tank towards the radiator side there had been a hole drilled that fits the fuel pump and glued in place

Trx450 exhaust work with the hybrid?
@HondaRacingHolland Жыл бұрын
No, its a crf exhaust front pipe and mid pipe, silencer not sure of its a crf or Custom Made for this setup, its a HGS who does sell these pipes.
