I am 25 years old and my dad owns this bike so I ride it regularly.. one thing I have to say is that this bike is the most comfortable and relaxing 160 cc bike in the Indian market. Yes it's power output might be low when you compare it to other fancier 160 cc bikes like the N160 , RTR 160 , Xtreme 160R etc but in terms of overall experience, this is right up there as the most practical machine in our market. Terrific suspension setup, comfortable riding posture (you can ride it for hours without even feeling like it) and god-tier mileage (60 KPL in city).

Guys, before buying this bike do a proper test drive. I own this new OBD2 unicorn. This doesn't perform like first BS6 model or old 150cc model. Done 9000+ kms. There is serious power delivery issues between 3k to 4.5k rpm. 1. Lag in power delivery 2. Low initial pickup 3. Cannot overtake other vehicles quickly and confidently when the rpm is below 4000.

I felt the same. My brother in law bought one about a month ago. At first I did not feel any issues, the bike is very refined and smooth, as I did not ride it hard. I haven't ridden a Unicorn in recent times, so I couldn't find any drastic drop in performance ( Had ridden the BS3 150cc one, a long ago) But felt that the acceleration isn't aggressive or up to the mark for a 160cc and was kind of sluggish. Then I came across reviews where people were complaining about it's performance drop. Then all my doubts were clear, that indeed the performance has deteriorated. The older one felt quite punchy, but this one is like a CB shine.

When this bike was launched it was 56k on road and in 2010 67k on road Mumbai. One could get 2 unicorns at 1.33 lacs. Inflation on all vehicles 2 or 4 wheeler is high. Its good in 4 wheeler market sales aren't happening and people boycotting with over 7.5 lac units of 4 wheelers across brands not sold.

भाई जी, यह मोटरसाइकिल पश्चिम और दक्षिण के राज्यों में ज्यादा बिकती है, और वहीं पर दिखाई देती है। दुबई में इस मोटरसाइकिल को डिलीवरी बॉय इस्तेमाल करते हैं। 160सीसी सेगमेंट की सबसे सस्ती मोटरसाइकिल है। कंप्रेशन रेशियो कम रखा गया है इसके इंजन का, इसलिए 160 सीसी की होते हुए भी इसका इंजन बाकी 160सीसी की गाड़ियों के अपेक्षा कम ताकत पैदा करता है। यही इसकी खूबी भी है, इंजन बहुत टिकाऊ है। जैसे कार में इनोवा का इंजन है, कम कंप्रेशन रेशियो वाला, वैसे ये भी है

I still prefer the Unicorn over the SP160.The Unicorn was great upto the BS6 model. But after the Bs6.2 update, it started showing a lot of problems like sluggish acceleration (feels dead), false shifts while upshifting (4th-5th) and many niggles here and there. Many might disagree, but one should ride the BS6 and BS6.2 and compare them.

Same issue. I have reported this pickup issue and proved it by comparing BS6 and BS6 OBD2 at the Authorised Service center. But Honda is not providing any solution.

No doubt unicorn is a superb bike but they should also adapt to newer tastes and design...still sporting an analog meter instead of digital cluster is a huge let down..I first saw the bike in 2007 and unfortunately nothing has ever changed since then! LED lights also absent I guess....Anybody would want a progressive bike..agreed engg is good but there has to be "change" ...that is the law of nature...sadly still sporting the "uncle bike" image.strictly for above 40 age group.you are correct it is definitely a replacement contender for your dad!

my 2010 suzuki gs150 still beats this hands down. Analog digital meter. 6 gears. Gear indicator. Carburetor means even if there is no battery , kicker or a push will start the engine. Only con is the headlight.

मेरा पास CBZ थी जो इसके साथ ली लॉन्च हुई थीं उस गाड़ी की सबसे बड़ी समस्या थी उसकी बकवास सीट जो कि यूनिकान में भी वही की वही अति है अब मैं सोचता भी हु कि यूनिकान लेने की तो फिर वहीं CBZ की सीट याद आ जाती है बहुत कमर दुखती थी इसकी सिटिंग कंडीशन के कारण ही मैने वो गाड़ी बेच दी
