I had an ‘84…. Amazing tourque monster. A sweet sweet bike. That appears to be a good specimen. Here is hoping you can get it fixed up.

Only one year in USA 1984. I had one new. The engine was unique and very different than the 750, 1100 engines. Different crank, pistons, cylinders and heads. You are incorrect. This engine was one and done. In 1985, the VF1000R used some of the parts from this engine but had gear driven cams and other updates. All the “V4” engines were different castings, so you should not group them as one engine or design, they are different except for concept and layout.
