Honda XR150L Review and Offroad Ride

I had a XR150L. I sold it. Literally within hours I regretted it. It was the most gentle, forgiving, fun little bike imaginable. A proper motorcycle with manual clutch, so not a mini moto like a Navi or Grom. It's bare bones, no tech and simple which is exactly what makes it great. Perfect commuter bike that gets 100 mpg and also has offroad capability. I made a mistake by letting it go. Great bike and nice job on the review.

I am sorry to hear that you sold it and can totally relate. I highly regret selling my TW. I bought it reasonable and sold it a couple years later for some profit during COvid. I would gladly buy it back but sadly its gone. I'm sure I will get another one someday. Thanks for watching and the kind words!

Im a big guy 6'4". I bought one loved it so much. Bought another one for my wife. We ride all over and absolutely love it. I have several other bikes as well but my 150 with a little jetting is at the top of my list. I recommend all motorcycle enthusiasts own one. My opinion this was the best learner bike for my wife. Would be a great starter for anyone that wants to learn as well as long term enjoyment.

2024 xl150l just got mine 3 weeks ago it reminds me of my pe175 suzuki perfect bike for me 40 mph roads and trails.I really like it

This is very similar to the Kawasaki KLX 150 BF that I have, the difference being that Kawasaki has dual disc brakes, upside down forks, 21 / 18 inch wheels and 20 pounds lighter. It's really nice for the farm roads here in Thailand, which could be classified as enduro trails, especially during the rainy season.

That Kawasaki does sound like a little better choice in many ways. I wish we could get more of these small displacment bikes here. I know the market probably isn;t strong for them but they are fun. Thanks for watching!

@ZacksRides The Kawasaki KKX 140 F is sold in the US. It's the same as the 150, but without the upside-down fork, both have the same 144 cc engine.

Very common bike in Mexico , been around a long time. I was in PV in Feb. they now get this bike XR190 fuel injected.

It’s interesting to see what the rest of the world gets from Honda and other Japanese brands. I understand markets are different through out the world but there are cases when I feel like we are missing out. This was one of them for sure.

Don't buy it! I'd look for a used CRF150F or CRF230. This XR150L weights 282 lbs. My '05 CRF150F was only 230 Lbs. with an after market rear rack and Baja Designs Street Legal kit.

For those of us that live in a state where a federal certification is required to license a bike, those other options wouldn't work if you want it to be street legal. Otherwise if you want something for pure offroad yeah those other ones would be cool. Thanks for watching!
