Part of me died a little bit when that engine came out. To find out if you have an LSD just spin the tires and see they spin in the same direction or spin opposite of each other.

Check your ground on your thermostat housing. It's the main ground for the ecu and make sure your chassis harness is all plugged in to your ecu plug green connector? You will hear your fuel pump prime.

Check the 15 amp fuse that goes to the ecu on the fuse box in the engine bay, it’s the first fuse on the top left .

It sounds like it has power but is not syncing with the engine rotation. Check the sensors inside the distributor for debris, loose sensors, chipped teeth on the timing wheels. Check the connection and wiring inside and outside for corroded terminals, cracked wiring insulation allowing grounding of the signals, broken wires, etc. The position sensors are a variable reluctance type, so are essentially a coil of fine wire internally, so should show some ohms and not open circuit using an electrical multimeter.

Check your distributor plugs. Some times the spades wouldn't connect. Make sure all spades are well on place...
