as someone who has owned and restored over 10 Del Sol's nothing saddens me more than a true vtec Del Sol being used for a swap like this.. nice swap and all, but to everyone watching use an si or s Del Sol for this kind of swap, because the true vtec sols are super rare and command a high premium..

I've recently acquired a 94 del sol vtec b16a3, but I have a built b16a and it hurts my heart that the a3 isn't built. I already had the b16a built before I acquired the del sol. I'm going turbo and it sucks that I'm not gonna have the original a3 in it :(

My buddy had a Del Sol that had an LS in it and it felt shockingly fast do to how light the Del Sol’s are. I could imagine how nice a K20 has to be in one. His is Super clean 👍

you can't just use the manual rack and pinion from like 92-95 civic cx and put it on? those non power rack isn't bad compared to power with no power.

Yeah you can use that... but it still requires a lot of rotation from the steering wheel to make a turn. the best rack to get is a Powered rack from a DC2, or del sol VTEC. I think quife makes a quick turn gear you can buy... but either way.. i still miss power steering a lot. T_T

What wheel/tire setup would you recommend for the same car for daily/street improved handling? My del sol is on stock suspension and I was thinking of going with a 15x7 on 205 50 15? Christian Perez Ya I'd love to know the exact number made as well as the MI del sol that was specific to one dealer in Germany which also had a MI CRX and others I believe. If you don't know about what versions of these cars I'm talking about you should defiantly look them up in some of your free time. There are some odd Hondas out there but you just kinda have to love them even the mopeds and odd collectables. However with these being my personal favourite for a FWD platform I have done 100's of hours or research to try and find out everything I possibly can about the del sol for my current build.

+Tyler Olsen sols stock 97 vtec. I think at rhd time he had a type r lip color matched and the oem wing. Stock side skirts. It's a 97 so they didn't come with aux lights l.

so far my favorite swap in one my Ek hatchback was a H22A4 with stock H trans is so perfect was built Lil bit went 12:90 in quarter mile before tuned after tune I sold it but my 2001 S2000 was bye far my favorite Honda ever there the funniest cars ever I've had del sol and civic coupe eg and Ek and hatchback eg and Ek as well so far tho s2k is the favorite of all

Get hasport mounts the rest is great, possiblity you might not be able to to have PS so manual steering rack will be good

You should register it in a CA County that doesn't do bi-annual SMOG tests. Thats what a lot of track racers in CA do. Just register the car in another county using an address from the UPS store/ Mailbox etc. (not a PO box) and have it forwarded to your full time residence. Problem solved.

Yeah I would be down for an EM1 lip. I have a feeling it wont fit on the 97 bumper well. This bumper has pretty limited oem lip options. Either way... i would have to agree with you. I might end up getting a spoon lip or something this summer.

Very nice Del Sol. However, this thing will probably understeer like a pig on track. The front camber isn't right and the k20 is very far ahead of the front axles. Beautiful car regardless.
