Just got back a few days ago. We’ve stayed at Riu hotels the last 5 years. We weren’t too impressed to say the least. No swim up bar in the adult pool or music during the day... Definitely a great place for the older crowd. The lobby is about half a mile to the adult section. You can either wait 15-20 min for a “shuttle” to pick you up or you can walk. They stop shuttling people after 11:30pm. Just be mindful if you decide to party outside the resort. Your drunk a** will have to walk when you come back! Good luck.

Super easy to get a towel asap and chage it for fresh one when you leave beach/pool at end of day... no need to get card back each time.

@@youwishyouknew yup. Every time I go it’s always a great time. My kids love it. I’m from California and my kids tell me all the time they want to move to Cancun and chill with the turtles.

Been to the caracol for 12 days and came here a couple of times for the day just to use the wonderful beaches. Coming here in March. Have mainly done Rius before and found them a good base line. I was not impressed with the sister resort the caracol (beach is terrible) and rooms were very untidy and full of bugs.

She did hate everything lol. Why she would come back a second time is beyond me because a resort can’t go from great to crap in 2 years. She’s kind of miserable. Maybe if she had a drink on her vacation she would have had a better time 😂

She expected a 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️hotel in a 2 ⭐️⭐️star hotel. I get it is not a luxury hotel but is no motel 6 😂
