Based on the surrounding vegetation, and what the people were wearing, plus the length of the shadows for that time of the day, I'd say around 10 or so days into February, of 1961.

We used to kip under those blankets in the winter, didn't work out to well but did keep those crappie sleeping bags dry. Dont remember cans of Amstel do remember the bottles though, as I remember it was renamed loopy juice in the early 70s. I was in 36 bty F troop A&T.

Back when Canada was a World Military Power. 1930s to late 1960s then complete nose dive from early 1970s to 2020s. Hopefully with the new trilateral Cold War Arms race and Arctic front lines Canada will finally smarten up.
