Trust me, Dan and the ducks will be just fine. They just ran into a juggernaut of a team that peaked at the right time. The ducks will always finish in the top 10 of recruiting and Dan is an alien when it comes to scheming IQ and leadership intensity. I know because I saw it in UGA when he and Kirby built the most elite defense of all time

No, the effort they showed in that game along with the Pac-12 title last year was lackluster. They would’ve lost to every quarterfinal team + Ole Miss + Michigan + Florida with that performance. They were a very weak 13-0 team with many close games.

They barely lost to uw who made the championship game in pac 12 title game. Oregon hammered michigan at Michigan, beat osu, Penn st and bsu 3 playoff teamns who else did that in regular season? Nobody. Alabama lost to Michigan........ so stfu cuz you don't know what you're talking about obviously. Maybe Dan Lanning needs a little more xp as a head coach but not many teams as good as oregon.

Thank Nick Saban for all of that optimism. His philosophy around recruiting, staff building &, coaching is where it all started with Dan Lanning. And he is the first person to take that philosophy to the west coast. And it has obviously been working out pretty damn well for you guys, for the most part. Obviously it does take a little time. People tend to forget Saban was a coach for 50 years and only ever remember the last 20 or so years of his coaching resume. That’s because that’s when he started coaching at a place with the desire and the resources to be able to compete at the highest levels. He was winning prior to then, but even he will tell you, he’s never been able to coach bad players on how to become good players. Oregon has a big enough brand and the resources to attract good players, after that, it’s all coasting downhill. There will most likely be some bumps along the way. That’s just part of it. Yall got a good coach. He’s just young.~ Roll Tide!☝🏽🐘❤️🤍

I’ll say it again, & I say this as a CFB fan (via Miami), UO had no biz playing OSU in round 2. That was a Final 4 matchup. I told everyone at the sports bar I was at watching that game, the winner of UO vs. OSU would win the Nat’l Title. Imho, even though OSU slipped against UofM, UO & OSU were the best teams all yr, & that 1st match up was a gladiator battle. Oregon will be fine.

There’s been a lot of revisionist history going around Eugene ever since Mario left, but he did a lot more good for our program than I think a lot of other Oregon fans would care to admit. Genuinely, I hope one day he leads Miami back to the promised land just as I hope Lanning leads Oregon to it.

@ joeyhenriques7289 Appreciate u. If he doesn’t get it done, then I’m afraid we’ll never be back. This is the most our school has ever invested in the program & it’s b/c of all the support he has from former classmates, alumni both from Miami & Columbus. He needs to clean up his coaching, though. I have a lot of connections to UO; several former friends played ball for Oregon in the early 2000’s. They still complain they should’ve played us instead of Nebraska in 2002. Lol. @@8d4o0c4 I won’t deny that the way Mario phoned in the last portion of his last year at Oregon definitely left a poor taste in the mouths of a lot of Oregon fans when he left for Miami. I don’t blame him for leaving, but I do think he could have handled it much better than the way he did. What I meant to say was that I think that poor lasting impression has led a lot of Oregon fans to either forget or ignore the good things he did do for us (the recruiting, the working the lines, the bringing stability back to the head coaching position after the lackluster half of the Helfrich years and one okay-ish year of Taggert before he fucked off to FSU) in favor of bringing up some of the negative things he did with us (the leaving the way he did, loses to Stanford in 2018, ASU in 2019, and almost every loss in 2021, underdeveloping Justin Herbert, etc)

I don’t have nearly the same connection to Miami that you have to Oregon. The best I have is you guys being my dad’s favorite team when he was growing up. One of his favorite football memories is seeing your players come off the plane wearing camo and fatigues at the Fiesta Bowl. He always loved how you guys were the bad boy, gangster, “Oakland Raiders” of CFB lol. And yes, we should have played you guys in 2001. Would we have lost? Probably. But maybe we would have put up a better fight than Nebraska at least lol.

I would like to add that the actual teams… Oregon versus Ohio State, was the last 33 minutes of the game… Which is what you also saw in Eugene, where Oregon out scored Ohio State there as well. The first 27 minutes was due to three bye weeks, before we played a team that wanted revenge. And I believe that had Ohio State played Oregon a month after losing to Michigan, Oregon wins that game with the same amount of rest.

I even verbalized it to the Buckeye fans that were all around us… And the Buckeye fans were nervous, cus Oregon was one drive away from cutting it to 12pts in the 3rd quarter. And during the 3 extra bye weeks, Dan Lanning and the Coaches were worried about the rust. According to my buddy, it was talked about how rusty Oregon looked in practice, over the walkie talkies.

I hear ya that it took some coaches years before winning their first. But I think Lanning needs to assess his assistant coaches. They need to learn to adapt. This season felt a lot like “trust the process” and watching them made me feel like they were not playing like a #1 seed should. While no team is perfect, there were times I would see them snap the ball and players are running into each other. So I think moving forward, they need to start looking to create an adaptive playbook on both sides of the ball

I have Oregon circled for 2026, to be the overwhelming favorite, to win the national title. But, Oregon has a chance at winning the Big Ten 2yrs straight… along with winning their first national title, in 2025… since I believe Dante Moore he is more talented than arch Manning, which was proven that all the elite 11, and all American games, coming out of high school. Oregon has a really good shot at dominating in 2025, since oh Ohio State will have a Michigan type down season, after losing 40+ players, after everyone came back for one last season. the buckeyes have five lose games, and they will likely lose the Michigan again.

1:00 Dan Lanning wasn’t any part of it-I think I understand, but disagree still the same-he is now the poster child of awful game prep and effort. Is he the best Oregon can do probably, is Oregon the best he can do, No. Oregon Ducks shamed themselves for no particular reason in the 2025 Rose Bowl by opting out. They put on jerseys and ran around for several minutes, but that was figuratively and literally an opt out-talk to me about how the coaching adjusted, called time outs, tried new personnel-please I watched the game. I didn’t see effort, other than to get the game done with sooner than later. Shameful performance. This is professional sports, players don’t have contracts, maybe some of the players weren’t happy with their piece-you tell me. It wasn’t Oregon had a bad day or OSU had a really great day against a team that was doing everything it could to score and win.

Having said that, I don't think many are questioning Lanning- he has been very successful and shows promise to be even better. Rather, some are questioning the coordinators- DC in particular. Oregon Ducks are representing a public unit, with public employees, using public resources and 34-O is BS on a massive scale-I tend to think, this is about money and our public employee Dan Lanning is dicking us around. I know this what I saw was not competitive sports, there is something else to 34-O before halftime, Ducks lose no problem, I understand OSU-great team. Not competing, big problem, especially since we were told they were going to compete and were ready to go and win. They didn’t leave it on the field because they didn’t show up, the just put on the jerseys and ducked around for a minute until it was settled. Argue otherwise-did the Oregon Ducks compete in the 2025 Rose Bowl? How’s the Rose Bow rank in the history of Rose Bowls? Worst one ever-I can make an argument it was and it wasn’t because of OSU being great-there was. A team on that field that was up to something and after halftime it was still up to something.

What kind of delusional trash are you listening to suggesting the regular season undefeated Big10 champs who beat the eventual national champion can’t hang? Have you even looked at some of the transfers coming in? I’d suggest listening to less talking heads and base your opinion from facts.

They are a solid program but still lack depth to compete with the top tier programs and too many programs now have the ability to have a great season as well to where consistency can become an issue from year to year. It will probably take awhile for them to get to a true championship caliber program to win the big games.

“Solid” programs don’t produce teams that go undefeated in one of the top 2 best conferences and win it in their first year in said conference. In your eyes if a team doesn’t go 15 or 16-0 and win the natty then they are mid lol. That’s not reality

What has Dan done? He Inherited a juggernaut roster and recruiting pipelines. He has an UNLIMITED NIL budget. Yet he has only lost when it matters most. He was born with a running start rounding 3rd base and got thrown out at the plate. He is a general LOSER. Oregon will remain become of NIL. Lanning has to go
