If I'm not mistaken, at one time, Barry Gibb had 6 or 7 songs in the top 10 at the same time. Bee Gees and songs he had written for other artists. Barry is a writing machine. There are so many songs out there that were huge hits that no one really knows that he was the writer. Amazing talent.

YES! Those are their real voices!! I was married one year (1977) before this was released in 1978. This would have been in my wedding too, but with them singing, at the reception. Love, love, love the Bee Gees. I am a black female, 68 yrs old, grew up with them. (A bit lengthy, but a must read.) The Bees Gees: (from left to right) Robin, Barry and Maurice (pronounced Morris) Robin (Dec 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) passed away as a result of kidney failure. Maurice (Dec 22, 1949 - Jan. 12, 2003.) Passed as a result of a twisted intestine. He was in the hospital for 2 days. Barry said he had a heart attack, but the doctors still operated. Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Andy Gibb, the youngest brother, had his own successful career. He was 12 yrs younger than Barry. He and Barry looked so much alike, that they could had been twins. Andy passed away in 1988, at the age of 30. Lived a lifestyle involving drugs, and he had heart problems. The brothers wrote all of his songs. Barry (middle) stated, "I am the last man standing." He was born September 1, 1946. He has 5 adult children and 7 grandkids. On September 1, 2022, he and his wife Linda celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary. (They were married on his 24th birthday.) On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley, who was 78, January 12, 2023. Lesley didn't have an interest to be in the limelight, but she can sing. They wrote all of their songs, and songs for other singers, which they sang after the songs were released for the other singers. The brothers have a VERY IMPRESSIVE catalogue of songs! I recommend the following songs: Staying Alive kzbin.info/www/bejne/nH-pq5mtgbJqaMU How Deep is Your Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqHUop2LbNpoj8U Jive Talking kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXKvfHSelMd_a8k Closer Than Close kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2e7epegeq1_iNU One kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYO4loCdr7R2edE You Win Again kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYu8aqKPiLidfKs Spirits (Having Flown) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hX_Qh3iAo92sqcU Bodyguard kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKmYiap_gKimadE Emotion (written for Samantha Sang) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJDahY2gpJ6UsM0 (Destiny Child's cover has too much drama. But Barry liked it.) Our Love (Don't Throw It All Away) Andy Gibb kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3mZaWl6rt5kbNk At one time 5 of their songs were in the top 10. Another time, four of the songs that were written by them for others were in the top 5. A song that Barry wrote for Andy was #2, but then it went to #1, and the Bee Gees song became #2!

They started singing together in harmonies at the age of 9 (Barry) and 6 (his twin brothers Robin and Maurice). This song was donated to UNICEF. It hit No. 1 in both the US and Canada. It's earned the charity around $11 million in royalties since then. Barry Gibb, Robin Gibb and Maurice Gibb wrote this track with "Tragedy" in an afternoon off from the making the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie; that same evening, the Gibbs wrote "Shadow Dancing" for Andy Gibb (but that song was later credited to all four Gibbs).

They are not back-up singers.Wow.They are all equal,in their input,and importance.All songwriters,and Mo,arranger,multi instrumentalist,wide vocal range,funny and gorgeous.Robin,on the left,Mo’s twin,multi instrumentalist,songwriter and totally unique vocals.Also,a wonderful man.The older brother,Barry,songwriter,guitarist,and amazing vocalist.Also a producer for many artists,and a lovely man.All of them philanthropists,too. Oh,and their younger brother,Andy,was a pop sensation,in the decade,or so,before he died,in 1988,aged 30.He also was a songwriter,guitarist,with a beautiful voice. Their older sister,Lesley could also sing,but didn’t take it up,further than a few gigs,to replace Robin,when the group split,for a while. There will never be another group like them.Ever.

Too Much Heaven is from the Bee Gee's live performance at The Music for UNICEF Concert: A Gift of Song. It was a benefit concert of popular music held in the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on January 9, 1979. It was intended to raise money for UNICEF world hunger programs and to mark the beginning of the International Year of the Child. The concert was videotaped and broadcast the following day on NBC in the U.S. and around the world. The Bee Gees gave UNICEF rights to all royalties from the song. It's raised about $13 Million for UNICEF thus far.

Vibrato...that thing with his (Barry's) voice. The other two are his twin brothers, younger but just as talented as him. They have some truly singular material. They write everything they sing, and they write a lot for other artists. btw, Barry is not always doing lead vocals, the other guys do some too, and they are fantastic. None of them read music or ever had a lesson on any instrument. They released 32 albums, 22 of them studio. These three kids from the Isle of Man did pretty well for themselves, selling over 220 million records. One of my faves from the 60's is "To Love Somebody", which they wrote for Otis Redding, and ended up recording themselves. And I love "For Whom The Bell Tolls", 1993. Happy listening...I don't think these guys ever wrote a bad song.

🍃These boys have been singing , writing, and playing music together all their lives since they were little tackers. They came out of the same womb. Big brother Barry led his little brothers. It's called a loving, united family. Mum and Dad support all four of them 100%. It's not hard to believe the success of their natural talent when you know their family unite is based on genuine love... 🍃💛🍃

The Bee Gee's L-Robin, Sir Barry, Maurice (Morris), are one in a million and their 3 way harmonies were unique. Many have tries to imitate but have never been able to nail it. I doubt anyone will in my life time. If you want a unique voice check out some of Robins vocals, For whom the bell tolls, I started a joke, New York mining disaster, massachussets to get you started. Sadly Barry is the last of the brothers still with us.

This brought back memories. They were the best...so was Andy who had a solo career. All of them are fantastic singers individually too...great songwriters. The love they had for one another really showed too. There will never be another group like them.

Most of your generation wouldn't be here if not for the Bee Gees! Music is all about frequencies and when those frequencies touch your soul you get chills. Brothers, one microphone, one take and all proceeds went to UNICEF.

This is what music is missing today. Humanity. Real musicians. Real singers. I count myself fortunate to have grown up during the 70s, the pinnacle of music.

Robin, the skinny one with real long hair, had Ana amazing voice all his own, a few recommendations from their early songs where he’s lead are I Started a Joke, Can’t See Nobody, and Massachusetts. And ones where him and Barry (one in the middle), are trading off lead are How Do You Mend a Broken Heart, and I’ve Gotta Get a Message To You. I ESPECIALLY recommend Can’t See Nobody cos Robin’s voice sounds amazing and it has this realllly sexy baroque instrumentation going on 🤤

Three completely different voices but together they are a heavenly SYMPHONY. They don't need an orchestra, their voices are the instruments. My parents loved the Bee Gees and I grew up listening to Robin, Maurice and Barry's amazing performances. The voices of angels! They made me very happy and still I listening to them every day. Rest in eternal peace you lovely Robin, Maurice and Andy! God bless you Barry for a healthy long life. Love you all forever. ❤❤❤❤
