I’m a Korean and I think international fans don’t know about the truth. Bts and Twice are really good friends and they have some private meetings together. It’s not because of entertainment companies’ rules, Kpop idols always tries to be careful in public places or in front of the cameras so it’s idols’ intentions not to talk each other. They don’t want to make rumors and they think get along with each other is their privacy. We sometimes see Kpop idols hanging out each other but most of Korean try to keep their private life. International fans think “Omg, they cannot talk to each other. That’s too bad.” But the truth is Bts and Twice are very close friends and they have private idols’ get-together. So don’t worry and please keep their privacies.

@@boyetortega2001 Many kpop idols nowadays have youtube channels and they talk about the behind the scenes of kpop, and some of them also said that kpop idols have private meetings after some award shows or on New Year's Eve, stuff like that. They all just gather in one place and have fun, drink together etc. I believe BTS and Twice are no different and attended those meetings as well. Also when they have MAMA in Japan or Hong Kong, all the groups that attend those ceremonies stay in one hotel (according to people that helped with organization stuff on MAMA), so considering the fact that there are no cameras there, idols can talk with each other casually, while passing by or when they eat etc. BTS and Twice probably talk to each other many times off camera.

its not that they are not allowed to talk to each other, but most idols girls and boys avoid to interact directly with each other (even if they are close friends in real life) especially if fans are present, because they want to avoid unnecessary ships and dating scandals (dating scandals are big in korea some can ruin an artist career)

I don't know if you will see this comment, but I just want to say that not every boy group and girl group is afraid to talk to the opposite sex and in kpop we have some really good friendships between girls and boys. If the boys and girls are from the same label, in most cases they can spend time with each other, hug etc. at ease, because they are viewed as "brother-sister groups", like a family, since they are from the same company. But you can find friendships even between girls and boys from different companies, like Hani (EXID) and Heechul (Super Junior), Moonbyul (Mamamoo) and Sandeul (B1A4), again Hani (EXID) and Ken (VIXX), SinB (GFRIEND) and Moonbin (Astro), Hyuna and Jay Park (soloists) and honesly I can go on and on. So some idols are not afraid to interact in public and be open about their friendship, but I understand why some just choose to not talk about it and meet up in private. Recently we found out that BTS's V and Jimin have a female friend, Seunghee from Oh My Girl, and some fans get mad at her and she was hated on, because of that. And it was also dating rumor not that long ago about Heechul (Super Junior) and Momo (Twice), but they are just good friends. Because that rumor gain a lot of attention, their companies had to make the official statements. I honestly don't know why some friendships are fully accepted by fans, and some not. I wish kpop idols could do whatever they want with whoever they want.
