We know Luke Shaw is going to be fit soon but if he misses the first couple of matches due to injury; we have a lot of options. Kieran Trippier is one of them, I know he can usually play right-back but he would be a good replacement if Shaw gets injured. Given that both Joe Gomez and Ezri Konsa can play anywhere in defence (RB, CB, LB), they could be decent replacements for Shaw or Walker is he gets injured or tired throughout the match. The ONLY mistake Gareth Southgate made while changing the 33-man provisional squad to the 26-man official squad was not selecting Jarrad Branthwaite. Him, Tarkowski and Pickford has been carrying Everton and especially their defence all season. How on earth have people like Joe Gomez and Ezri Konsa been included instead of Jarrad Branthwaite.

As a BHAFC fan I can tell you Dunk is one of the best ball-playing CBs in the Prem. Its not his fault De Zerbi left him to die when Igor was getting torn to shreds. He is constantly bailing out our mistakes. Branthwaite was lucky to play for a team that locks 9 behind the ball.

The England team are favourites among the English bookies. Not bias at all. 😂England can definitely win the Euros, but to be favourites you would need world class central defenders, a goalkeeper and a left-back, plus a better manager. If England at least had a well oiled system and game plan like Spain or Italy, maybe you could get away with it and be favourites, but that's not the case.

I think it is a mistake not to pick Maguire. He is a terrible slow one on one defender but when you are protecting a lead and the opposition is putting you under pressure with corners and crosses, few defenders are better than Maguire in those moments. He will not start for me but I will keep him in that team for that one reason.

England are playing with a lot more pace now, and the majority of their winger are young and offer a lot of attacking threat, and can both score and assist equally. Grealish doesn't really fit that, and he hasn't had a good season. Regardless if he's solid for England, there's many better and I think snubbing him was right.
