This MV was shot months before Baekhyun and Chanyeol left for military. They recorded everything beforehand including the EXO Arcade season 2, they also recorded a bunch of youtube videos for EXO-Ls, for us not to miss them as much. Baekhyun and Chanyeol, both have their own youtube channels. All 7 of them are part of this whole special album (Kai, Chanyeol, Sehun, Xiumin, Baekhyun, Lay, DO), Lay is the Chinese member and he's not in Korea atm so he shot the MV and recorded the album separately in China, while the remaining 2 are actively serving in the military (Suho and Chen).

I know that it's the fandom name and not a term to describe the backup dancers lol. I was asking because for example in ITZY Be In Love they actually showed Mitzy's in the music video, the actual fans, so here I made an assumption that for this special video they casted Exo-L's who are very good dancers to be in this music video. "With Exols" means several things. First this is a special album celebrating ten years with EXO. Second many of the songs where written with declared exols (like the song Just As Usual). Third there is hints for Exols all over the video, like the code L-1485. Exo has a long tradition of communicating with the Exols through music and especially after such a long period of time without new music this is such a gesture for the Exols. Furthermore with Lay "back", Chanyeol and Chen being in scandals and now Baek and Chanyeol joining Suho and Chen in the military, we all needed a fun and upbeat song. This is a celebration that the fandom desperately needed!

I think you're biased when you react to this MV, Aaron :) Actually, this song means a lot for EXOL, there's Lay in this video, actually have 3 sentence part (not just a few words), and SM even edited him in the group dance at the last chorus. Lay is the only Chinese member left. Actually, EXO has 4 Chinese members, but 3 of them have already left back in 2014 and 2015, AND lately, well since 2017, Korea dan China has a bad relationship, thus Lay hasn't been with EXO since 2017 (Well, in Tempo Korean version he showed up but just a few second, doesn't have any part, except for the Chinese version of Tempo), he's in China. We missed him so much, there are 6 comebacks without him, AND this time he came back!!! Even in this rough situation, there's COVID, not even in Korea, 4 members are enlisting, HE ACTUALLY HERE, IN THE SONG AND MV. So that's why we're really really sensitive about this song and MV. I noticed tho, that you really don't know much about them that lead you to make that kind of opinion about this song and MV, and you haven't STAN them. Actually I'm aware, if you have already STAN them, if this is a song by your favorite idol, you would make a way more elaborate opinion. Those base, it's your favorite. Those melodies in their voice, their vocals, it's your thing. Every time you react to other artists that YOU'VE ALREADY STAN, you always mention their vocals, yet with EXO you never really mentioned their vocals. Even if it's not a "dark" song, but you've already liked this kind of song by another artist, it's a perfect happy, mood booster song. In this comeback, we got 7/9 members participating, that is because the last 2 members are currently in the military, and Chanyeol and Baekhyun participated in this comeback before their enlistment date. And did you notice that Lay was actually wasn't there. They actually edited LAY there. Their comeback is a Special Album, because they might be on long hiatus because of the military, and individuals scheds. EXO-L is the fandom name of EXO. They always put "With EXO-L" in credits (not the literally credits tho, basta, hard to explain hahahaha), or in the albums. That shows how much EXO loves EXO-L, that they put them on everything, even on song that they produced they dedicate some of their songs to EXO-Ls. Trivia: Back in the days, they are originally a 12 members, divided into sub-group, which is EXO-K (produced songs in Korean), and EXO-M (produced songs in Mandarin). EXO-K has 6 members (that is pure Korean), and EXO-M has 2 Koreans and 4 Chinese members (total of 6). Year 2014 when 2 of the EXO-M members left. Year 2015 when Tao left (EXO-M), leaving Lay as the only Chinese member. This is why SM just put them into 1 group (which is EXO). They still produce songs in Mandarin, tho. EXO-L (fandom name of EXO) established August 5, 2014. And it is also the letter between K and M (K, L, M), and it also stands for "Love". The reason why EXO-L is the name of the fandom (except from the mentioned above that it is in between of letter K and M, stands for Love), K and M also wants to protect L (that's why it's in the middle). This album was prepared in a span of 3 months and that decision was quite random bcz the members who came from military wanted to make an album as they missed it while they were in military for which other members agreed as well. EXO has 9 members. This MV features 7 of them. the remaining 2, Suho and Chen are in the military. Baekhyun and Chanyeol also enlisted for the military very recently. they filmed their parts before enlisting. Lay is still in China. his part was filmed separately. the part where he's dancing with the rest of the group is edited. EXO-L is the fandom name for EXO fans. "with EXO-L" is like their way of saying they did this with the love and support of EXO-Ls

The problem with this reactor.. he would always sound “doubtful ” and too critical. Yes it’s good to hear constructive criticisms, but make sure that you are sure of what you are saying. Or you have an in depth knowledge. I have noticed this since he reacted to SHINee.. he would always hum “hmmmm” as if he is judging the artist, the producer and the song in general. Lastly, he never had this “fun” reaction. Which affects his audiences and the emotion towards the material that he is reacting with.

I recommend you Cesar Oh's guides to get to know EXO better! Her guides are SO WELL DONE! And yes, this comeback is 80% for EXO-Ls, as you saw already there aren't crazy high notes or a hard-based song as EXO used to give us, but they said they did this album for us and to just enjoy and be happy! I this is also why they call it Special Album, because there are 7/9 members, including Yixing (Lay) and also the songs are either happy and upbeat or for exo-ls (Runaway and Just as usual). I hope to see you react to Cesar Oh's videos, you'll really know them SO MUCH better after😊 EXO-L is our fandom name 😊 EXO and EXO-Ls!🥰 edit: oh and YES! Yixing (Lay) was edited in the mv! omg all these fans triggered. Its an honest reaction and if doesnt like it, he doesnt like it. These comments saying omg "we dont need this or that" are false. youre clearly watching these to get confirmation that this song is good, someone says its not and boom all these "fans" get in and hate. "he has to know exo better", no he doesnt. Imagine, there are really people who are watching and listening, but dont get into the kpop sphere too much. It just shows how toxic these "fans" are and that they cant accept someones true feeling about a song and that they dont know details of a group.

I agree with him actually, one of the things I like with EXO is their vocals obviously and for me as well the mixing of the bridge wasn't my taste, I would love to have the vocal more in value, like more "in your face" it doesn't mean the mixing is wrong, just it's not my taste... Same for Aaron, he was respectful during the whole reaction, never said anything direspectful and his overall opinion was pretty good. Ive been semi-following this channel ever since your First EXO reaction (since 2019) and then for the SuperM, NCt and Shinee ones. I love your honest opinions but !!!! Seriously man, I can't wait for you to dive deeper into EXO as well, hopefully this year. Their concept is different from everyone else, they never do the same thing twice, each album brings new sounds, their vocal line's technique is outstanding. Some people say their rap isn't that good, but even then they have tracks with rap verses that are honestly breathtaking. Looking forward to more Exo reactions, and I really hope you'll grow to love them too.
