In this album, each track is supposed to express the powers of each member and convey that feeling. Oasis was the last track (besides tempo Chinese version) and it represented Suho's power (water), that's why it feels a little bit empty on the chorus. We can see that on the rest of the songs as well. I love the fluidity of the song and also it's perfect for concert's endings. Thank u for listening to ✰ĖӾØ✰

Oasis is my favorite EXO song, so glad you checked it out. It’s one of those songs that creeps up on you when you have it on your playlist and just chills you out. The vocals and instrumental are amazing. Yes please listen to it more. Took me a while to realize the impact😃

*From my observation. sometimes when the reactors have questions regarding the music and lyrics (like they don't know what to feel with the song), most of the times, the answer is just the title. Oasis is a song which I think expresses the lyrics very accurately and beautifully. For example, those lyrics "Breaths quickening, eyes busy searching for the answers, my lips drying out". The way they sing it makes me feel like exactly those lyrics. And the "Chasing the sun for a long day Run run run" sounds exactly like I how I imagined myself on that particular situation, on an endless desert searching for an oasis.*

yap i agree, some of lyrics coded out there was switch, i mean the parts of suho mistaken as part of chen , part of chen was mistaken as part of suho, but more on part of suho mistaken as chen (sometimes). Then if you really keep on eye on them since debut (support) you can easily know there voices but sometimes they have the same tone , timbre and etc the only way you can see the difference is the voice range and their unique voices. :)

The lyrics are connected to Suho's power i.e. water. The song is about being on a quest to find something that is like an Oasis to them. The Oasis which is beyond man made things. They are hungry to get answers so they set on a journey to satiate their thirst for answers. The whole singing style also shows their thirst or desperation. This is what I interpreted. I could also see parallels with something holy like a pilgrimage.

Knowing your tastes, I totally, REALLY, recommend you to check "Going Crazy". I could still be wrong of course but... that'd be veeery surprising haha. I don't want to spoil anything about that song, but, hhhhhhhhhh. AH. Yeah. I could go on and on when it comes to recommend their b-sides tracks, but I always insist on "going crazy" (mostly here cuz I'm almost sure you would really like it), "sweet lies" and "been through". The timeline is correct: it was right before the first member had to enlist. They have a beautiful 6-person stage of it. Oasis is, to me, the spiritual sequel to El Dorado (another great stage). El Dorado talks about their beginning: they were considerably younger when they made that (they were even EXO-K and EXO-M), and the lyrics say, "Into the light, spread out before us, towards a future that no one can know. Our path that in the distant future will become a legend, the El Dorado." And towards the end, they say, "Now we’re here. I’m looking forward to the days that will stretch out in front of us..." Oasis, on the other hand, is what happens once you've reached El Dorado and stayed there for some time. What comes after the awards, the records, the fame? Is it okay to stay where you are, or should you believe in that thirst you feel and run? An oasis is a temporary safe place, but you cannot thrive there if you're ambitious. You have to keep moving. As Sehun sings, "You go your own way, don't keep track of our direction." There's a lot to be said about their popularity, especially when people say they're not as big as they once were, but Sehun also said something similar when they (he and Chanyeol) released one of their albums - "It's not a problem/Don't force yourself if you don't like the music we do. We like it."

The songs on this album range from "most energetic song" to "softest song". The order of the songs tells how a man meets his partner, but little by little the relationship worsens and ends. That's why at the beginning is "tempo" that talks about how excited the boy is when they meet and he falls in love, almost in the middle of the album you find "with you", it talks about how a solid relationship can be the most beautiful thing in your life. And at the end there is "Oasis", which says that there is always an ending and then there is a long way to go.

Woah i’ve been waiting for this day😭 i love exo bsides so much. Their discography is so amazing. Red velvet and EXO discography are at the top of the food chain.
