Not discrediting other companies’ groups of course, but I gotta say SM provides ones of the best vocal training out there.

SNSD is the kind of group that held real *POWER* ! When they released The Boys teasers, other groups started pushing back their comebacks. Their music is melodious, rhythmic, vocal heavy (coz goddess vocals of all 9 members). Right now, K-pop is all about unexpected elements, wow factors and being edgy.... everyone is so edgy, that no one is edgy anymore. Trust me on this, 2nd gen style of music is going to make a comeback so hard! Their songs aren't cultural and political anthems for nothing lol!

As long as i know CMIYC is not included on any album, this song is actually a surprise song for Tokyo Dome Concert that's why the original version with 9 members is on Japan lyrics. The MV with ot9 members Taeyeon with the bangs (Mr.Mr era) but they promote it on 2015 with Party era looks.

Snsd were debuted as a 9 member gg but in 2014 the member , Jessica was removed (kicked out from the group) while they were preparing for this comeback . That's why it still gets a positive reaction from the fandom, because they managed to surprise us…again. About you not liking the sound of old kpop songs ... please try to keep an open mind. Girl's Generation debuted in 2007...their songs will sound like old kpop because they ARE old kpop, but despite that, at the time it was all new and experimental. They were one of the first to experiment lots of different things in kpop and, precisely because of that, today we can have a wide variety of sounds and melodies. Please keep this in mind.
