this song is so iconic even until now. it's always being played at the protest and rally due to its lyrics that's pretty much about a hope for better future. this is a song that all female trainees in kpop would practice due to the hard choreo and vocal, the standard for trainees. literally all idols know this song and choreo (especially female idols). this song is chosen as the best idol debut song (even until now). lots of producer and song writer got request for creating a similar songs to this. long story short, THIS SONG IS A LEGEND AND ICONIC EVEN UNTIL NOW.

I think this is how original Taeyeon voice singing, she sound different now cause she already learn lot of technic and get lot experience so she know what voice to use in what note or part of song
@sapphirecruz46443 жыл бұрын
i think the term “original taeyeon voice singing” is kinda wrong since her technics now is still her original voice. it’s just that she just matured musically like wine as time passes :))

She used to do more chest mix before. Which sounds more pop-y, but imo it won't fit her more jazz/indie approach now. Plus it is more prone to crack if not done right (esp if she exhausted her voice in concerts)

The lyrics, the vocal, the choreography, the melody. Everything is ICONIC, the dance break for the main dancer (Hyoyeon), the amazing ad-libs from the duo main vocalists (Taeyeon Jessica) throughout the last chorus, the main visual got the center. Hard demanding choreography and vocal. The lyrics that didn't talk about a stupid relationship but to facing a new world leaving the sadness behind. What is more iconic than this? This song is arguably the most iconic debut in KPop. Through the years it has become the symbol of hope and change for Koreans. But put that aside, what was also legendary when they debuted was their first music show stage. No backtracks, everyone held a mic and sang live and everyone danced hard. They nailed it. It was the epitome of girl power and youth. It was iconic how good they were already.

Not to mention the journey of SNSD really live up to the message as they faced a lot on their way to becoming the legends they are, opening so many doors for girl groups in kpop and changing the game

All of them were still teenagers when this song come out. But now, even the youngest is already 30y.o. They did have a very long journey in their new world. They have the very heart-wrenching, heart-breaking, tear-jerking ballad version of this song. Especially the one from their concert in Tokyo Dome. But, my advice, if you still don't know about them, their journey, their story, better don't watch it yet. Because you will just going to wonder what's actually happened on stage...

Dude, I was screaming internally when I saw this on my feed. This is arguably one of my top SNSD tracks. SNSD has two main vocalists, Jessica and Taeyeon. However their sub vocalists are really strong too. It’s a crime to not watch their Music Core debut stage of Into the New World, the girls literally sang and danced to this song with no backing track, not to mention the intricate choreography of ITNW. It’s safe to say all the female idols had learned this song and choreo at some point in their lives. This song is part of female idols’ training syllabus, they need to master it. Not forgetting K-netizens sang it during many protests. It’s undoubtedly the most iconic and meaningful debut song of any generation.

I'm someone who've been introduced to KPOP by Girls' Generation songs. To be honest, true that their early song maybe not too appealing for some or not sound anything like recent sound of kpop, BUT their song is very meaningful and so precious as it opened the gate for girl group to reach the untouched ceilling made by boy group. If you follow KPOP long enough, you might notice that so many girl groups has covered or performed this song early in their debut, hoping that one day they will be as successful or even better than Girls' Generation. Like the song name itself, INTO THE NEW WORLD. I won't force you to like their song or hear them all, but I want to recommend you to check some of their early work, in case you want to a lil bit to follow their journey and why they dubbed as Nation's Girl Group and so dominating in the scene before Twice, BLACKPINK, and others even debuted. I will list them some: 1. Girls' Generation - Into The New World (Ballad Vers. Tokyo Dome) 2. Girls' Generation - Girls' Generation (2008) 3. Girls' Generation - Gee (2009) 4. Girls' Generation - Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) (2009) 5. Girls' Generation - Oh! (2010) 6. Girls' Generation - Run Devil Run (2010) I hope you can check out some other early generation girl group's early song that shape and make KPOP the way it is now, you will notice the pattern of how girl group song change from bubbly to more girl crush concept: 1. Wonder Girls - Tell Me 2. Wonder Girls - Nobody (Korea Vers.) 3. 2NE1 - I Don't Care 4. 2NE1 - Fire 5. KARA - Lupin 6. SISTAR - Touch My Body 7. Miss A - Good Girl, Bad Girl 8. 4Minute - Crazy 9. 4Minute - Hate and many more, that I believe many fellow viewers has already recommended some songs to you. Thanks'

Reason why their debut song is the most iconic or legendary ? * simple barely no makeup * pure vocals specially live * lyrics have a deep meaning that Is even use in protests in Korea and other parts of asian * Into the new world became the hardest live performance ever of Girl group back then (that other companies uses as the standard dance practice if you can perfect it like GIRLS GENERATION/SNSD did then you can pass being a member of a girl group) * showcasing their vocals while performing it purely live while doing the hard choreo

SNSD and this song revolutionized an entire generation of kpop. In a world dominated by male kpop artists, they took the challenge and storm ahead, paving the way for female representation in the kpop world. And this song fits the challenge. They are iconic not only because they are multi-awarded or popular, but because they started a movement. This song is still being used in protest rallies and movements because of what the song stands for and what SNSD stands for. So you can look at it as a love song, or a song that sparks movement.

This is the song that giving birth to the 9 queens who later on became the Nation's Girlgroup... this is the song that all of girl group trainee must do, because the song's contain hard choreographer, high pitch vocals and must synchronized dance moves... And also this is the best debut song's... why ? Because most debut song telling about love story, or a break up story, or friendship story... but "INTW telling you to lets hold hand, lets face the future together and overcome the hardships together.." so yeah...

Aaron: "I can't say i really, really like this song for my personal taste..." that's perfectly reasonable, it's not your preferred musical style, everyone is different. But there's more to this song and its production than just it's technical attributes, and/or how it suits your (and others) musical tastes, simply as one more pop song among so many. You don't HAVE to really like it as a song on it's own, of course...but as a K-pop fan, making K-Pop reaction videos as a passion ( and also a source of income, I imagine), here's some perspective that I think you presently lack regarding K-Pop. There is a common expression in the K-pop world: "If you don't know SNSD, you don't know K-Pop". The K-Pop industry ( NOT biased fans) universally described SNSD as "legends" back in 2013/14 and continue to do so today, in 2021. The vocal and dance aspects of ITNW (and other SNSD songs, such as Gee, Oh, and Genie et-cetera, became the curriculum by which 3rd and 4th generation groups were judged 'ready for debut', as an industry-wide standard. Notwithstanding the present global popularity of K-Pop, the most passionate fans are unsurprising Korean and for the majority of that nation, SNSD are still "The Nation's Girl Group" and "The Pride of Korea" . Look into the context of this song ( and 'Gee') and you will understand a lot ore than you think know. In short, SNSD is arguably the reason why you are a K-pop You-Tuber, although you don't know it yet. 3rd and 4th Generation K-pop artists owe a lot to SNSD, and most of them acknowledge that. SNSD are "The Idols' Idols", for many good reasons.
