@@dontmoosewithme368 yes Canto may be his mother tongue but he's still not 100% fluent in it. he still stutters, all the languages he knows/can speak just confuses him so much that even speaking Canto is hard, let alone trying to make a complete sentence that make sense.

Yay! Do it until part 5 ❤ Lucas' mother tounge is Cantonese. The cantonese speaker in NCT: Lucas, Hendery, Xiaojun. But they could speak mandarin quite fluently (except Lucas sometimes he has difficulties in speaking mandarin)

In the beginning, the leader was speaking Mandarin, actually Lucas (from Hong Kong) is fluent in Cantonese and maybe speaking Korean was easier than mandarin for him.

Lucas is actually not bad at Mandarin, but he gets quite confused. Last year on Keep Running they even told him that he improved quite a bit. Psdt: In a live of 2018 Lucas said that he learned Mandarin in Korea, I think there were the Chinese members.

Didn't know that Mark and Johnny are struggling as well ^^' But it makes it even more impressive that all of the foreign members manage to work in korea, even though they still struggle here and there. I would die living in a foreign country and not being fluent in the language. It takes time, but still... I had two years of hardcore korean classes in university (seriously, they were awful), but I forgot like 3/4 of it, after 2 years know. Obviously I'm still able to fluently read it and I still know most of the grammatical stuff, but vocabulary wise...I recently realized that I forgot the numbers, but I guess if I reread them I'll be fine.
