V coined the term "I Purple You" in 2016, and the day after that he told us about the grandmother who raised him, who had passed away. This dropped 1000 days after "I purple you", and is supposed to refer to his grandmother (blue parrot), and V's family calls him honey bear and baby bear. If you look closely at the Winter Bear font towards the end of the MV, you can see VANTE mixed in the word WINTER.

V said he was inspired by the proposal scene from the movie 'about time' , when the guy proposes the girl while she's sleeping, hence the lyrics "she sleeps like a blue parrot" and "you sleep so happily". In the movie, the protagonist has the ability to go back in time. I think, the going backwards might be a representation of that. It's just a theory.

I read that the song is called "Winter Bear" because V was born in December (winter in South Korea) and their parents and grandparents called them "bear" or "little bear". This song was released unexpectedly, just the day on the day 1000 in which V gave a meaning to the color purple and also shared his pain with ARMY for losing his grandmother.
