So you are only judging the entire South industry by these two movie mother characters ? Watch Ante Sundaraniki - there are two families with two mothers. See how they are. Actually, in most movies the moms are so sweet. It's like me watching only Gullak and asking why North Indian ladies are so loud, pessimistic and cynical. That's stupid. Right? You should always watch many movies. Also "South" ka films nahi. In different industries also, the flavour of the mother changes based on regional cultural differences in all 4 industries. You have to watch at least few movies from different states to get that. The directors of KGF, Pushpa and Liger actually don't know how to show mothers only. It's irritating. You want to watch a better version of this movie... Watch M.Kumaran S/o Mahalakshmi. Thamizh. Lovely movie about a kickboxer.

@@Z71990 Agreed about Rocky's mom being his motivation of life, but many instances the dialogues are super-animated, that's my point. For instance, there's a sequence in which baby is crying and mom is working in the paddy field, she starts singing some motivational quotes rather than promptly picking up the crying baby... another one where doctors warn Rocky's mother for carrying ill Rocky in rain, rather than looking for child's timely treatment she walks out of hospital saying some cringe "uparwale ne paida kiya bachane wala tu kon hota hai" to doctors !!! Rahi baat Liger ki...uski motivation bhi toh uski mom Ko hi dikhaya hai na...

@@siddharthsatbhai6979 One thing to notice in KGF is how all these auper animated parts of his mother are in 2nd part. While first part largely showed her struggle hence audience were already connected to here hence parts showed in 2nd part didn't feel like cringe. While in case of Liger, it started all with this *extra* stuff without giving time for audience to connect with them. If you can't feel connected to character or story: anything they do will feel odd. Same thing won't feel odd when you're already connected/rooting for character. Now making audience connect with story/character is an art which requires honesty and conviction. I believe KGF had that while Liger was a odd half hearted attempt or these guys are delusional.

Mona Singh in LSC was the perfect example of how the character and acting of a strong mother should be and she acted far better than Ramya Krishnan no offense to Ramya Krishnan she is a phenomenal actress but her character was quite over dramatic. LSC was also a garbage but in movie the character of mona singh as laal's mother was quite authentic

Things I Hated in Liger: ALERT: SPOILERS AHEAD 1. Mockery of MMA. Some MMA scenes at the end looked nice but, for the most part, they were horrible. 2. No chemistry between Vijay and Ananya. Looked absolutely fake. 3. Extremely poor cameo of Mike Tyson. He is a boxing legend and the makers of this movie made him look like a clown. 4. Songs in weird situations. In one scene, Vijay's mother is all emotional and telling Ananya how she raised Vijay and then, there is a romantic song out of nowhere. 5. Making fun of Stammering - Ananya pandey, who is in all awe of Vijay, suddenly leaves him because he stammers. Although it was later revealed that she did that on purpose to motivate Vijay, it was still very very bad. 6. No idea why Vijay went to Ronit Roy to learn MMA. There was not a single scene where Ronit was seen teaching MMA to Vijay. He was only watching him fight. And Vijay went on to beat Mike Tyson. Absolute crap! 7. Ramya Krishnan who plays Vijay's mother is only "SHOUTING" in the film and keeps motivating Vijay in virtually every scene. Made him look like a loser than a fighter. 8. Vijay reaches the finals of MMA Championship, but we don't see a match. Instead, the makers decided to change the venue from an MMA arena to some weird location in Las Vegas. What the hell? 9. There is a song at the end of the movie, which is the remake of an already remade song "Coka" by SukhE. I mean Banaras ka launda fighting in Mumbai and punjabi lyrics? 10. The credits could have been added to the song at the end but they were shown separately after the song finished. My Verdict: The movie is a joke. Don't waste your money on Liger unless you're a die-hard Vijay Devarokonda fan.

Honestly I'm glad this movie failed. Fir wahi 70s wali Amitabh mithun starrer action movies aa rhi thi. Too much toxic musculanity. Larger than life male protagonist. Bahut decades baad soft male characters were on bollywood screen. South movies again brought tough angry man. Let the boys chill yaar! Let them be cute and loveable. Don't put old definition of men in their head.

awesome guys, liked the review hopefully now it will be again back to good films and not good films than south Vs Bollywood, I feel this is one of those case were film makers think publick kuch bhi dekh leta hai . There must be system where people must come-up stating how much would you pay to watch this movie ? may be you guys can use this idea too.
