Honest Review Of ATEEZ’s New Album

On December 1st, ATEEZ made their return with their new full-length album “THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL” and its slick title track “Crazy Form.” In this video, I'll be giving my review on the album.
“THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL” sold an impressive total of 910,017 copies on its first day of sales alone, breaking ATEEZ’s previous first-day sales record of 756,748 set by their previous mini album “THE WORLD EP.2 : OUTLAW” earlier this year.
“Crazy Form” also debuted at No. 1 on Bugs’ realtime chart, which it has topped for 10 hours straight since its release.
Meanwhile, ATEEZ’s music video for “Crazy Form” soared past 15 million views in less than 12 hours, making it the group’s first music video to reach the milestone within the first 24 hours of its release.
Debuting in 2018 with KQ Entertainment, a minor K-pop agency, Ateez has been known for its intense stage performances as well as unique music style and narratives of its "Treasure," "Fever" and "The World" album series.
In June this year, the group's ninth EP, "The World Ep. 2: Outlaw," sold over 1.52 million copies in the debut week. It then soared to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and No. 10 on the British Official Albums Chart Top 100, marking the band's highest-ranking entry yet on both charts.

I do have to agree that of all THE WORLD albums, MOVEMENT is still the best. Idk why but for me it's the most cohesive. OUTLAW is the most experimental with some elements of Middle Eastern influence to it which I liked but overall ik it's kinda hit-or-miss with some. I haven't gotten to WILL yet but I don't think "Crazy Form" surpassed their previous title tracks, "Bouncy" and "Guerilla" so I can't help but be hesitant. And about JH's high notes, atinys have been saying for yrs that we want to see more vocal flexibility from JH and not just his high notes. Especially since the other vocalists in the group are also just as capable of hitting high notes as well (as seen in songs like UTOPIA and MIST). The last time I can recall JH using his low register in a song was in "Fireworks (I'm the One)" and that was over 2 yrs ago. 😅But who knows they might surprise us in their next album.

Okay comparing Ateez noisy music to songs like cupid or anything from new jeans is just dumb (no offence) it's not even the same genre of kpop, it's like saying oh Barbie is better than oppenheimer but how is that even making any sense both of them are gems in thier own genre. Other that that i understand it's just u speaking what you think of an album and i respect it, it's good to have ur own opinion and styles of music u preffer ❤, just this outrageous comparacence made me speachless

Quality of songwriting has nothing to do with genre. Great melodies, lyrics and production is important for every type of music

@@mykpopreactions i mean it's personal prefference for me i don't like any of new jeans songs as much as i like even my least favorite Ateez songs or even (g) idle songs. And it has nothing to do with thier low quality songwriting because its not this, they have very talentem songwriters i just really don't like the style.

@@mykpopreactions Ngl but I have to side with @Chu_Axo here. Comparing ATEEZ music with music by NewJeans and FIFTY FIFTY makes for a pretty poor comparison considering how different they are from each other (not just music-wise but concept-wise as well). When you're comparing groups like NewJeans and FIFTY FIFTY to ATEEZ it rly does boil down to personal preference (ie whether you like bgs more or ggs, "noisy" music or "non-noisy" music, rappers or no rappers, hard-hitting music or softer music, relatable lyrics or non-relatable lyrics, complex lyrics or simple lyrics, etc.) And it's fine to have a preference, there's nothing wrong with that. It's just an unfair comparison is what I think @Chu_Axo is trying to say.

My expectations were really high, and even tough I liked some ideas, such as the units and Jongho solo I still think Movement is the best of the trilogy. They could have done so much more with their voices, and vocals such as Yeosang deep voice or even rapper Seonghwa. They still ate though

I listened to Crazy Form and the song just isn't for me. It's like you said, more in-the-face, loud and the autotune in some parts puts me off. I'm sure I'll love the b-sides, so I'll go listen to those. Since they try to make every comeback different, it's gonna be a hit or miss with some fans like me, and that's fine. I still love ATEEZ.

Yeah same here, Crazy Form is cool and all but I don't think this is their best work (i think it's primarily the chorus for me). But I've been hearing a lot of good things from the b-sides (specifically ARRIBA) so hopefully the b-sides are better, fingers crossed 🤞🏾😄
