I am not an economist but what i learnt years ago in commerce, i think its the demand and supply rule that applies. The value for the money is because of its demand and its supply. USD is valuable because its in short supply and high demand just like petrol, on the other side the indian and Pakistani rupees dont carry much value because its in high supply and low demand. If india or any billionaire would give 1 cr to everyone, then everyone would have the money and the demand for money would drastically reduced and so would the value of money and the end result is extremely high rate of inflation. Example if some one has a bottle of 3 liter milk and they are selling it for 300 rupees because they only have 10000 rs in their account but when they have a 1 cr in their account and anyone is ready to pay any price for the milk then they would not be ready to sell for 300 but may ask 3000 or 30000 or 300000 depands on the supply of the milk as remember when people would have 1 cr each then they would not feel need to go to work the economy would struggle to get labour , transportation of goods and services would stop (because the truck driver or the labourer or that bus conductor all would have 1 cr each and most of them want to enjoy their money than to go to work, its human nature) and all this would make everything else except money in demand which would inflate prices at a rapid rate. Soon after issuing 1 cr to each and everyone in india,the value of 1 cr would change and it would be equivalent to 10000 or 1000 or even 100 rs. The classic example if Zimbabwe who has issues 100 trillion dollar note and apparently you cant even buy a bread with it . Think this is the reason why giving 1 cr to each indian would not solve the poverty in india. This can be better understood in the barter system in which there is no money but you exchange what you have for what you want. Say you make shoes and you can sell shoes but you want rice for the year so you make deal with someone that you would give them shoes for whole year for an exchange of rice for your family for a year and that person would agree if he needed shoes. Now all of a sudden government announces that everyone would get free rice for this year. The question is would you still exchange the shoes for rice for a year or would you demand something else say a furniture or maintenance of your house and car for a year. The problem here is when the government announced the free rice for a year, everyone got enough rice and they dont need it anymore and the exchange value of rice diminished drastically.

It is so because if ya distribute 1 Cr to every single person in the country that means ya raise their buying capacity at once, which in return will rise the demand for products and to meet growing demands, manufacturers will increase the price of products. And at the end situation same hi ho jayegi.

Poverty is alleviated through social programs combined with economic reform (only economic reform produces an oligarchy- like someone may become rich because the PM is their friend and get national assets cheap). 3. It's not practical as it will result in extreme hyper inflation. If everyone will have one crore, let's say ppl will buy property or vehicles, but since the workers will also have one crore so probably they won't go for their jobs thus shortage of labor which will again increase the production price and thus the price of automobiles or buildings. Eventually, the value of one crore will not remain one crore anymore.

Giving 1 crore to everyone will simply cause massive inflation. Prices of eveything will go through the roof. The prices will go so high that the extra 1 crore will make no difference. So you will hardly be able to alliviate the nation-wide poverty. On the contrary, the price of the INR will tank. So, just handing money to the masses is not a solution. It will, in fact, have some serious repercussions!!!
