ABOUT US:
We are Coach Nazir, Coach Fatimah, & Coach Nyla. We are considered Black Americans and we were all raised as Christians. We have a keen understanding of the many facets of American culture and the ongoing challenges present within it.
Each of us accepted Islam as young adults and are practicing Muslims who follow the final revelation, The Quran, and the example of the Last & Final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad ibn Abdullah (sws).
Coach Nazir & Fatimah were married for 15 years and had 6 children when he chose to practice polygyny. He married Coach Nyla, and our polygynous journey began.
Since then, 4 more children have been born, 1 by Coach Fatimah and 3 with Coach Nyla who has added 2 bonus children (step-children) to the family making a total of 12 children.
We had very little support and even slimmer resources when we began our journey, so things were done by trial and error and there were lots of errors! However, after being proactive in our growth and commitment for the success of the family, we figured it out and decided to be a resource for others who may be experiencing similar difficulties.
Once we got it right and reverse-engineered the method, we wanted to take away any excuses from those who say they didn't have a way to learn how to practice it correctly.
ABOUT THIS CHANNEL:
This channel is a place where we invite you to travel with us on our personal development journey to develop better and more fulfilling relationships whether you are single, married in monogamy, or practicing or looking to practice polygyny.
We share a lot about polygyny and its dynamics because our teachers and spiritual leaders have failed us in this area. Being that polygyny doesn't get its fair share of airtime, but people are still practicing it without practical education, we decided to help.
As a man, it helps provide guidance in areas of leadership, raising your financial IQ, increasing your emotional intelligence, mental awareness, and overall levels of competence and confidence.
As a woman, we help women connect to their femininity, understand how to navigate differing dynamics, how to be attractive as a whole, and how to craft a life of fulfillment no matter the challenges that present themselves.
We help committed people go from surviving to thriving. If you are dedicated to growth, love, and connection then understand that the truth may set you free, but it may upset you off first.
We will tell the truth, share best practices, and also learn from our community.
ABOUT YOU:
If you are a man or woman who is interested in becoming the best version of yourself and in turn developing rich, fulfilling, and joyful relationships with others, then you are in the right place.
If you are looking to grow, learn more, and shine when there seems to be so much darkness around, then you are on the right channel.

I've been quite open to the idea of polygyny, perhaps even inclined to it. However, this episode, plus some sisters in my life, have successfully convinced me otherwise, Subhan'Allah. So I closed my mind off to that for a while. But, recently, I have been thinking about my stance again. Your videos are so insightful, masha'Allah.

Salaams I’ve watched some of these tea talks in the past, and the women I think were very real about their feelings on polygyny ect. It’s okay for them to tell our truth even if poly families don’t like it. It is a more difficult way of life but Alhamdulilah it can also have benefits. I know plenty of sisters who were made to feel their feelings needed to be suppressed because of the permissibility of polygyny. That’s unfair and emotional abuse to the wife. She can be a wonderful Muslim and not desire to stay in a poly marriage. That’s okay. Or she can choose to stay and work through things, either way is hard. I think these sisters are just giving their truth, where others may sugarcoat what is initially a very hurtful experience.

Wa salaams, We agree that people have a right to feel feelings however our reaction is not about that whatsoever. There were many problems in their episode besides not being objective or actually dealing with how it can be done. To think it's okay to equate polygyny with cheating, being repeatedly dismissive of scholars and Islamic scholarship which is made of up thousands of women scholars by the way, insulting incoming wives by claiming they have low standards, blaming others for personal bad behavior, terming something spiritual abuse simply because it exists, etc... is far beyond discussing personal feelings and needed to be addressed. If we as Muslims don't hold each other accountable and remind each other to fear Allah first, who will?

How could monogamy be a new thing when all marriages begin as monogamous and most men could not afford multiple wives, hence polygyny being the privilege of men who have means... I've learned quite a bit from your channel and experiences shared but I think the tea talk sisters are also coming from another perspective and speaking up for women who are being broken without compassion. 🤷🏽‍♀️
@outstandingpersonalrelationshi
@outstandingpersonalrelationshi Жыл бұрын
1. All marriages don't begin as monogamous. Ex: the marriage of Aisha (ra) didn't start as monogamous. Men's first marriage always start as monogamous but it's not necessarily the same for women. It's not about most men practicing it, the Earth hasn't ever has 2 or 3 times as many women as men. 2. Monogamy being the norm and default while polygyny being considered taboo and the on the fringes is relatively new. For facts, see the book by Dr. Nancy Cott 'Pubic Vows' for the historical record. The sisters are coming from another perspective which contradicts what they said the show would be about and that is the problem. The intro said one thing while the meat of the show was completely different which makes things misleading.

May I ask? Do you feel a woman is in an equal position of her spouse cheats, and does she deserve to know it is a marriage and not casual sex covered up later with a piece of paper? She specifically, SPECIFICALLY, compared when a woman cheats and when a man cheats. She says: if a woman stepped out on her marriage, the visciousness.... in a man's position, if he gets a paper from a mosque, it's fine. This clearly, CLEARLY, is a discussion of inequality IF A MAN CHEATS. Extramarital sex. If he does cheat, one-night stand, sins: then if he gets a piece of paper society says its fine. Not Allah but society. Her point is how women are vulnerable without these outs, yet men are less vulnerable because they have an out IF cheating happens. I feel the glossing over this important distinction, even you yourselves referring to her discussion of cheating as if that is already marriage, speaks volumes. I ask again, do you believe a woman is in an equal position when there is infidelity, do you believe she should be able to be assured it was not infidelity later turned into marriage?

Exactly it’s really sad to see how women are being put through emotional blackmail regarding polygamy. I agree that it works for some people but it’s kind of unfair that women who find it hard to accept are constantly judged and told that they are disobeying Allah. If polygamy was a must then yes it would be disobedience but it’s an option and this is because Allah knows that human beings handle situations differently. Also I was disappointed with the fact that it was made out to seem like a man doesn’t need to understand his wife’s feelings when she hurting and finding it hard to accept. No offense meant to anyone but I don’t think the women were misleading people they were just saying their own experiences and if you Watch their video completely they also talked about the fact that they have seen polygamy been done right. Allah is all knowing and knows who truly worships him live and let other live May Allah guide us all.

@outstandingpersonalrelationshi
@outstandingpersonalrelationshi 2 жыл бұрын
No I referenced the religious penalty for such a thing if the people were living under an Islamic state that existed in the past. Similar to the Bible's penalty, the religious penalty for adultery is stoning. To be clear, that punishment is not something a husband or wife or individual can take into their own hand so isn't done today. It's a very major sin/crime in religious terms and there is also a major penalty for the person who wrongfully accuses someone of adultery.

Alhamdulillah ! May Allah swt reward you and your family for taking the time out to address this video full of negativity and what appears to be dissatisfaction in what Allah swt has made permissible for a reason. Ameen 🤲🏽 ! Maybe going back to the days when many cultures killed off the excess female children would be a better option for some of these sisters who don’t want to do the necessary emotional work on themselves as they clearly state men have to do. (Which I totally agree the men must do to be successful). Or maybe the majority of women being born and never getting a chance to experience love,motherhood or a husband & family due to the shortage of men would suffice for some. This is a classic example of why it is important to study and practice because without the proper knowledge and understanding it would be easy to mislead others whether intentional or not. May Allah swt guide those who question what has been revealed to our prophet Muhammad SAW to better understanding. Ameen 🤲🏽

I have been thinking a lot about polygamy, and believe one of the wisdoms behind it is that if Allah SWT grants a man power, glory and honor all the women will tempt him (try to seduce him), getting married multiple times stops that temptation and allows one to keep caring for their wives. Imagine your a man who all the women want and you can have any women. You may resist the temptation of the first women then the second, but after a year of this you may begin to slacken in your resolve and commit zina. When a man marries again there is nothing wrong with the women he is currently married to, its just in the nature of man to seek women and when certain conditions are met a man will either marry again, commit zina or resist (the last option is not advisable, how often can we trust ourselves).

Also felt ur views on this was not clip was not fair as u are trying to pin trauma on childhood issues and not purely poly, women are created to be nurturing and feeling pain for everyone but here asked to put that aside. Although ur wives are sitting their they are quiet and nodding would love to hear how first wife felt in the clip to breakdown her view

This reaction vid was done in 3 parts, watching a clip won't give you the full picture. However, we do feel adults should be mature enough to address any situation in a graceful and honest manner unless they lack mental capacity. And no, it doesn't make sense to blame something 'purely on poly' as you put it because poly is simply a form of marriage. How does that look when you say that the problem is marriage! Immature, childish, and placing blame on the institution of marriage is simply ridiculous.

Rasul Allah (PBUH) was the perfection of Islam. There are no men who could fully meet his example. So, it is often unfair to say well Muhammad (PBUH) did it, so I can do it too. The Holy Prophet prayed constantly and fasted much more often then most, also was much more charitable then most. However, most men including most polygamous men are not striving to meet those examples. Why is it so unforgivable for women to give real incite on how they feel or what they have witnessed other women in polygamous situations. Polygyny is not always the best for Muslim families.

Asalamu Alaikum, All Muslims should strive to be like the Prophet SAWS, Women too, to strive to be like The prophet SAWS Wives. We are not perfect, but who are we to question what Allah Ta’ala has made permissible and what he has not made permissible. It’s a question of how big our ego is, how sincere we are, we must remind ourselves that we are nothing but slaves of Allah Ta’ala and humble ourselves. No one said it is Unforgivable for a women to express her feelings, we women are built on emotions, it’s how Allah has made us. But we should learn to contain whatever feelings we may have, Anger, or jealously and to speak sensibly Like the Sisters and Brother said in the video everyone has a part to play. It’s simple to be honest, we must obey Allah and his rulings, he has made this permissible for man, accept it and that’s it. No one is saying it’ll be easy, but getting to Jannah is not easy. It’s just a matter of how humble we are. Allah Ta’ala says in Surah Baqarah Ayah 216 “But perhaps you may hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah knows, while you know not.” This Ayah in general meaning tells us that there may be times that there is something we go after as beneficial but turns out to be harmful, or we avoid something as harmful which later turns out to be beneficial. SubhanAllah

@@aishalazrak3864 Thank you. Not all men are suited for polygyny, and some wives know this. As indicated in Quran: Surah Nisa 4:3 If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or (a captive) that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice. Allah Ta’Ala knows each persons’ capacity and we hope that each of us understand and makes decisions based on our best attributes and understanding our limitations. This is why I am puzzled when people are surprised when some women indcate, based on their experiences with their partner, they feel polygyny is not suited for their family. Spouses have had time to learn one another’s abilities. Also, I know from my time in Europe and the US that many polygamous men leave the financial responsibility for the families on the shoulders of the women or social services.

Interesting you would twist what I said in such a fashion to fit your narrative. To my point, when women complain that their husbands aren't qualified to practice polygyny and begin to list a plethora of shortcomings, what does that say of her marital choice? Does it say other than she married someone who is little more than a boy? And yes you are correct, everyone will be held accountable for their actions and nobody can carry the burden of another's.

Some women aren't aware or don't discuss polygyny beforehand. no Summaya the dishoensty and spiritual batil is you saying polygyny and znah is the same or normalizing it in culture... just like a man telling the nisa to pay mahr like in hinduism is batil. brother saw it as an comparison to znah like i did right away, even the sister said i had to check non Muslims on it but for you to do it and you Muslims to mislead and say its znah which has a sharia reaction, Awuthubillah... polyandry was done by the native indians Men breaking it down is having back men & nisa think different. These nisa might have mom feminist issues. 10 :00 - layinka she says if you can't be mature telling them and dealling with reaction don't do polygyny. Yes you do have to increase in maturity and leadership and gathering your own emotions to the big picture to make it healthy for emotions to come by... she is saying its ok to grl to be handled... i saw another reaction but hearing this a 2nd time now tea talker says men don't hold space for the nisa even in monogamy, w/e that means, so now it seems like just an attack on brothers. very jahl this Aliya, the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him did harb and came back and did nikah... is that to deceive, bring it up yes in general but there are fiqh issues to say its not an act where you deceive. 20 :30 - Nazir says Polygyny was accepted in those times where monogamy when in reality znah is the norm. nancy cot public viles? disney princess syndrome... monogomy is alien. sister is telling the tea talk everyone has to do personal development, not just the men. Aliya says this is just my opinion, alot of men do this thnking sister just settles... we need facts along with opinions. sister fatima says different ppl show emotions differently so don't down. Nyla says growing is with sincerity, its not settling... --- even if they say polygyny as a stat has this or that issue, monogamy as a stat has issues to, and then znah is pushed as well... i hope my notes werent too all over... From a brother in Islam.

Honestly... I would like to thank you clearing the air on this. Muslim umma really need some education on polygamy as it has been heavily painted in dark colors. This will effect the kids and parents.

Perhaps your comprehension is off regarding the term used? You said, "walk out on their marriage". Walking out on their marriage in American English means to abandon their marriage, that is not what we discussed. We responded to the statement of "stepping out on the marriage" which means that a spouse committed zina (adultery), hence the penalty for zina by a spouse in Islam and even Hebrew law is stoning.
